A friend who is a HVAC specialist replaced my heat pump system in 2019. He retired, and I have not had the system checked since then. I decided it would be a good idea to have the system checked, so I asked my neighbor who they used. They had a bad experience with a company who told them their 3 year old system needed replacing for 11k or so. They turned that down and called Michael & Son who replaced a bad capacitor and had them up and running again. So I made an appointment with Michael & Son. The process was extremely transparent. Mohieddin went through my system, answered questions, and made recommendations. The final amount for my check up was incredibly fair. I place a lot of value on a company that provides service and integrity at this level. Thank you and you are now my new HVAC specialist friend and company.

I called Michael & Son in the late evening for an emergency plumbing repair to a cracked and leaking shower handle/valve. Junior Hernandez was the tech that serviced the issue. He is an amazing representative of the company! Junior took the time to calm my nerves and explain all of the details for the repair quite thoroughly. His patience and expertise were greatly appreciated (he stayed on the job past 2 am!). This is the first time I've used this company⎯they were the only ones who answered the phone out of 3 other plumbing companies I called. I'm so glad that Junior was available and will highly recommend him for any plumbing repairs in the future.

Dylan Wall was great. The relief valve on our hot water tank had failed and water was leaking into our basement. Michael & Son was wonderful in sending help out quickly and once Dylan arrived he was incredibly professional and friendly. He went the extra mile in diagnosing the problem (we had no idea where the water was coming from initially) and making us feel informed and confident in the solve. He even installed a water sensor and extension on the relief tubing so it would drain directly into our sump pump if it ever happened again. The next day we received a follow up call to make sure everything was in working order and there were no issues. Overall, very impressed with the level of service. Big kudos to Dylan. Will definitely be calling Michael & Son in the future for our plumbing, HVAC and electrical needs.

I needed quick service for my 24-year old hot water heater that was literally bursting at the seams, so I called Michael & Son and they came right out! My plumber Richard Ernesto was professional, very knowledgeable, and worked extra hard to lug my new hot water heater up four flights of stairs! He kept me updated throughout the process and was very thorough in explaining the new water heater and the maintenance required to keep it in tip top shape. Graham, the restoration technician also came out and was able to quickly assess that only a small amount of water had leaked and that there was no internal water damage going on inside my walls. He instantly put my mind at ease and was also very thorough with his work and explanation of what he saw. I’d give the entire experience from top to bottom 5 stars and would definitely recommend Michael & Son!!

I had to delete last year’s 5 star review for this business and create a new review for my latest experience because there’s no way to add more than one review for a business. I received plumbing estimates from a Michael & Son plumber over a year ago and followed up last month to get the hose bib fixed so I can water my flowers this summer. When I setup the appointment, I mentioned the hose bib work I was looking to get done, but when the plumber came out to take a look at my concern, he said water is coming out of the hose bib and no work needed to be completed. I was shocked by this response because the previous plumber definitely said the opposite so I thought it was still unusable. I was confused but trusted the plumber’s observation. The plumber confirmed no issue fairly quickly and for some reason wanted to take a look at the main shut off valve even though he stated there were no concerns with the hose bib (the reason I setup the appointment). I didn’t actually see water coming out because I did not follow the plumber outside. Of course, I signed off on the invoice and paid the dispatch fee because the thing I thought was an issue wasn’t so no work needed to be completed. In my mind, I wasted the company’s time to come out and look at something that’s not even broken so the fee made sense at the time. Days went by and I finally decided to buy a new hose to use the hose bib (since there aren’t any issues, according to the plumber). I turned it ON and noticed water coming out of the wall (around the hose bib) instead of fully through the hose bib. I assume the plumber (who determined all was well within 2 mins) overlooked the leak or was just moving too fast to notice. Either way, my time and money was wasted on this day and I still don’t have a working hose bib. Since I observed a concern with the hose bib after the appointment, I reached out to Michael & Son via email to follow-up and schedule another appointment. They resent the invoice which to my surprise does not accurately reflect the results of my recent appointment. Turns out, the plumber only mentioned the “extra observation” (main shut off valve needs replacement) on the invoice but nothing about the hose bib! Since I did not agree to get the valve fixed, I apparently was required to cover the dispatch fee. But the valve isn’t the reason I scheduled the appointment and it’s not the issue I expressed concerns about to the plumber. Instead of going back and forth with this company, I just figured I’d post my last review. Feels like I’ve been bamboozled…or perhaps it’s not intentional and the plumber just made a few mistakes during my appointment. However, it does seem quite convenient for the plumber to simply indicate customer did not want to get work he recommended completed and excluding the main concern. Either way, the company resending the invoice tells me everything I need to know. I take accountability for quickly signing the invoice without noticing no mention of the hose bib work. It’s not about the reasonable fee I paid, it’s the principle of the matter. Lesson learned, read everything and don’t assume a plumber is correct. Hope this does not happen to anyone else. Including the video of what appears to be a broken hose bib.
