  PLEASE READ HONEST REVIEW I chose Boston Floor Covering after getting seven different quotes, mainly because of their great reviews and because I wanted to support a local family-run business. Unfortunately, I regret that decision. I was installing LVT in a roughly 1,500 sq. ft. commercial space. George Sr. originally came out and was excellent — knowledgeable, professional, and very clear about what needed to be done, including leveling a major dip in the floor that was close to an inch in some areas. After receiving a quote of around $10,000 from George Jr., we decided to move forward. The first major surprise was learning that Boston Floor Covering does not do its own installation — they subcontract the work. The crew they sent was actually very nice, but this is important to know if you’re choosing the company based on its reviews and expecting its own installers. The biggest issue was George Jr. When the job started, I was suddenly told the floor did not need the leveling work his father had specifically recommended. When I questioned it, George Jr. became dismissive and basically told me I could find someone else to do the job. At one point, he even tried to have the crew take the flooring back and leave. Thankfully, Peter stepped in and was extremely professional. Since I had already paid toward the flooring through my deposit, they eventually agreed to leave it. I was then left with 1,500 sq. ft. of flooring and no installer, forcing me to find another contractor. What should have been a two-day project could now turn into weeks of delays and lost rental income for my business. George Sr. was a gentleman, Peter was great, and the installation crew seemed hardworking and respectful. Unfortunately, my experience with George Jr. completely changed my opinion of the company. Before hiring them, I strongly recommend asking who will actually install your floor and making sure every part of the floor-preparation work is clearly written into the contract. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Boston Floor Covering.

  From start to finish, my experience with Boston Floor Covering was top notch. George provided an overview the first time I went there. Being slow to decide, I returned to look around a couple more times and met with Peter. It was certainly helpful to have four samples at home for a few days. Decision made, product delivered in timely fashion and then installed by my terrific handyman. It's like having a new room! Boston Floor Covering provides patient, kind, efficient and personable service, and the price is fair, too.
