  Big thanks to Amanda for calling us back and understanding! I'll keep it short..lol First guy out was Joe — an old-school cat! This guy definitely has years of experience under his belt and i felt warm and comfortable.".no point intended" he's got this!. I was actually surprised by how quickly he seemed frustrated and wished this heating unit never existed, but sometimes i think that to. The only problem? I think Joe really disliked the furnace and wish it was a toilet. trust me, i had a few words with my furnace after he left..lol He replaced the reset box with new, but removed it and put back the old one, removed the rod, put a probe in the duct to check the draft, and after about THREE HOURS of troubleshooting, the furnace was still giving him the finger. Joe finally looked at me and said, “I’m pretty sure it’s the gas valve. You’re going to be putting a lot of money into this unit.” I said, “At least lie to me, Joe!” 😂 So I paid the $... service/diagnostic fee, which I had absolutely no problem with. Then I was going to get hit with another $... service charge. I’m not going to lie… I was almost thinking of selling one of my kidneys. Thankfully, after some pleading and prayers, Joe waived that fee, which I really appreciated. So I asked, “What do I do now, Joe?” “Well… Ed will be coming out tomorrow to replace the gas valve.” super cool dude! Ed came out the next day, no need to replace gas valve, did some troubleshooting, made a few phone calls, and… still no success. I mentioned, “Why don’t we try that probe thing again and check the draft?” BAM! 💥 Sure enough… DRAFT PROBLEM. So, after all that, I’m sitting here with about $... into the adventure, and I finally know what the problem is. All jokes aside, I appreciate the guys sticking with it and actually trying to figure out the problem rather than just throwing parts at it. Joe and Ed both put the time in, and sometimes diagnosing a 2015 old heating system is more of a detective story than a repair. unit is still out of commission for know, but next adventure is calling Chimney company..oh boy!!! Although its 3 star's, this does not reflect there effort, the persistence, and for saving me from actually having to sell that kidney. 😊

  Shaun Vernazzaro is a great tech . It took him no time to figure out the problem and solve it. We have had Jim Dorsey & Sons install a new furnace when we bought our home and when the a/c unit broke they installed a new one . I only have them do the yearly maintenance on our systems. I know we can trust their service. I highly recommend Jim Dorsey & Sons .

  My 7 year old LG mini-split system started throwing error codes in the peak of summer and I called on Dorsey for help. My system has been problematic over the years and other local contractors have fallen short repeatedly. Dorsey was a game changer. Right out of the gate they were able to send a technician within 48 hours. They diagnosed the initial problem and also found a long standing noisy valve that other contractors told me was normal years ago (It wasn’t). Parts arrived quickly for the repair but we learned the system had a leak. Two extremely knowledgeable technicians (Brad and Vincent) braved the humidity and my hot attic in August to thoroughly inspect and locate leaks at flared fittings and a handler due to manufacturer issues. They took the time to detail several options for me regarding fixing or replacing components and let me choose what was best for our budget. Their attention to detail in re-sealing everything better than they found it was noticed and appreciated. From the first visit right to the end, they were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. It has been 3 weeks since they got us fixed up. The system has been running perfectly and pumps cold air fit to freeze an Eskimo. Without a doubt, only using Dorsey for our future HVAC needs. We appreciate you folks! Sincerely, a couple that loves their 58 degree bedroom
