  Had them come out for an estimate based on previous reviews in a Facebook group. The estimate was close to $12,000….. 3x all the others. Also disappointed to see they put stickers on my stuff in the cellar. I knew there was a service fee for the visit but they added a “tariff surcharge” on the fee. Very confusing …. When I called for an explanation, I was told it is a general fee to cover gas, and other costs. According to google, a tariff surcharge is on goods purchased from another country.

  Highly recommend, they did an excellent job with our water heater installation. Very friendly, great communication, arrived when they were scheduled, and did a great job. Overall just an easy experience with everyone at the company. Will definitely use them in the future!

  What a great company from first call to service to email analysis after. We had James J come to our house for a small repair and he was pleasant and respectful and knowledgeable. He did a full house inspection to see if there were plumbing issues we might have or need to deal with at some point. It was very helpful. However, when I went to the basement a few hours after he left, I discovered that he did not close the clean out valve on our hot water heater and there was water all over the floor and I had to tighten it fully. I got an estimate for a new hot water heater and it was way higher than three other companies. So, I was very disappointed.

  After a harrowing experience with an older pool heater, I was more than fortunate to be connected by my heater manufacturer to Test of Time. I spoke with Crystal who is one of the nicest people in the world. She was sympathetic to my plight and was able to schedule an appointment for me a few days later. Crystal provided me an appointment window and when that window was close to being up she called and assured me the technician would arrive but later than scheduled. Communication with them was constant and friendly; I appreciated every step of the way. Paul, the owner arrived and was equally nice and wanted to get us up and running. He explained the value of yearly service and was able to quickly diagnose the problem. He also had a part on his truck to fix it, but it ended up being a little too big. He checked his schedule and had work done to acquire the part and was back to install it in the rain the following day and we also had him clean the heater thoroughly. I am one very happy customer and look forward to including Test if Time in the list of vendors I use to care for my home. Thank you so much Paul, Crystal, and Kaitlin!

  I wish there were a way to give more than five stars. From the moment Paul, Lucas, Jack and Lou the team from Test of Time arrived, I was impressed by their professionalism, expertise, and genuine care for both their work and my home. When my water heater unexpectedly burst, they stepped in without hesitation and worked nearly 12 hours straight to install a new one, ensuring my family had hot water again that very same night. What stood out most wasn’t just their skill—it was their commitment. They treated my home with respect, kept me informed throughout the process, and went above and beyond to make a stressful situation manageable.
