  I wanted to install an Andersen storm door and was having difficulty in getting lumber to adapt our door with sidelights. We paid for a quote from an installer from HD and it was pretty expensive for the complete installation. I almost gave up on the whole project. With the description of what I needed I went to Sudbury Lumber to see what they could provide. They said they could custom order the trim adapter. Being concerned I asked for detail dimensions for the wood adapter trim, they obtained the drawing spec and provided it to me. I could not obtain the specs from other vendors or manufacturers on internet searches. It was what I needed. I ordered the adapter first and installed it. I then ordered the storm door next. It took some time for the order to come in, but both items came when it was promised. Surprisingly the Andersen door, trim and even small hardware cost much less than HD. The door and adapter was $100 less for each and $50 less for local delivery. I also saved quite a bit installing it myself, luckily I am a very handy person. I recommend Sudbury Lumber and suggest others to check with them before shopping at HD and Lowes. They are helpful, price competitive and a local independent business.

  They have types of lumber you can't get at the big box hardware stores. Friendly workers who know their product. Good place!
