  Todd came to our home to discuss the installation of a mini split system.He was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant and showed various options outside for the location of the equipment. He was very sensitive in assuring us that said equipment would be placed in the least noticeable place so not to detract from that side of our home, which I greatly appreciated. Todd has all the options available to make your choice an easy decision!

  Maffei Services is hands down the nicest plumbing company on the north shore. Everybody they hire from the receptionist to the service techs who come to your house are incredibly friendly, responsible, and professional. I have been using Maffei since moving back to New England 15 years ago and every experience has been extremely positive.

  So disappointed. We initially used Maffei when our water heater stopped working and they were prompt, found the issue, and repaired it at a reasonable price. So when we found a leak in bathtub, they were our first call. The dispatcher got us scheduled right away. We were told that we'd be the first appointment of the day (around 8:30am). I took a 1/2 vacation day at work so that I could be home for the plumber and to my great disappointment, no-one showed up! I called at 10am and was told by the dispatcher that the technician was finishing up another job and would be there right after. The dispatcher offered to reschedule, but it's left such a bad taste in my mouth. I had also pre-scheduled Maffei to come out next week to tune up our AC unit, but I think I'm going to cancel and find a company that is more respectful of people's time.

They took photos throughout the inspection, clearly explained their findings, and walked me through what needed attention immediately versus what could wait. Tony followed up with a detailed cleaning of both units and went above and beyond by inspecting my indoor plumbing, catching potential problems before they became major issues. Communication & Transparency ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really appreciated the clear, transparent communication around pricing and recommended services. The team took the time to discuss the Maffei Maintenance Plan, outlining what it covers, the benefits, and the exact cost options without any high-pressure tactics. Customer Service & Professionalism ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ All three technicians—Shane, Yohendy, and Tony—were exceptionally professional, polite, and knowledgeable. They respected my home by wearing protective shoe covers (footsies) and taking care while working inside. It’s rare to find a team where every representative delivers the same high standard of service, courtesy, and expertise.
