  Very disappointing experience. I asked multiple times during the scheduling call for the replacement pump price, but they refused to provide any estimate. I paid the $79 diagnostic fee only to learn that the pump replacement would cost $601. Based on my research, similar pumps typically cost around $60–$80. In my opinion, a charge that is about 10 times the typical pump cost, without disclosing it upfront, is unacceptable. Customers deserve transparent pricing before scheduling a service call. Without that information, your $79 diagnostic fee is gone before you can make an informed decision. I cannot recommend this experience and never take any Maintenance package! There is no diagnosis required and I asked what is the pump price? No response! other thing is that whatever your explanation is not justified the cost 10 times higher. For contact you I reached and someone Informed services manager will call Me back .. no response yet!

  I called Rodenhiser for same day emergency service of my 22 yo central air conditioner during the recent heatwave. Jacob arrived within 3 hrs, identified and replaced the faulty capacitor, verified that no other parts were damaged and checked the system performance. Very knowledgeable, very professional and really saved us from the heat.

  Mason and his partner did a wonderful job installing our new water heater. It was a job that extended into the late afternoon and they were very professional and easy going about it. The area is quite cramped and they did an awesome job maneuvering the old heater out and installing the new one. They also were very good about cleaning the area. Very nice young men. Rodenhiser can be very proud of them. We thank them for their great work and having it completed so quickly!

  Mason was a pleasure to work with when he installed a new shower system today. He deserves a five-star rating, but my wife and I waited seven hours for him to arrive (not Mason's fault since he was assigned to other customers before us) for what was supposed to be his window of arrival of 10:00 - 2:00 according to Rodenhiser's scheduling staff. They failed to keep us informed throughout most of the day about delays. So we waited anxiously in our house for seven hours, not knowing when Mason would arrive after the arrival window turned out to be very wrong. This caused us to cancel other activities we could have done today. It took about six hours before we finally got a text that had an accurate update about Mason's expected arrival. When he came the installation went smoothly, except the shower apparatus we purchased through Rodenhiser didn't have the type of metal finish my wife ordered. Mason was excellent, the office's scheduling and customer communications left a lot to be desired.

  The Rodenhizer technician was courteous and a pro. However he followed company protocol. We have had chronic problems with an air conditioning unit that Rodenhizer sold us. The company sold us a total of three units to cover each zone in the house. Repeated maintenance and service calls seem to have been treated as an annuity by them since then. We were charged about 300 dollars for this service call when our air conditioning in one zone was not functioning and reflecting two fault codes. We followed the recommendations for remedying the faults and they did not work, so we contacted the company for a service call The service call resulted in identification of the problem as a coolant leak. We were then provided with an estimate of over 1700 dollars to locate the source of the leak. The company wanted half as a deposit at that time. I deferred as we would then be 2000 dollars into the problem and only at the stage of identifying where the leak was located. We would still face the cost of remedy, which was still to be estimated, plus the cost of replacement of the coolant, which was approximately a hundred dollars per bottle to add another 500 to 700 dollars in cost for materials, plus any wall repairs, repainting etc. I short, at 2000 dollars in cost we still would have no idea of the cost of the remedy phase itself. So we contacted another HVAC company. They came the next morning, confirmed the coolant leak and fixed it immediately with Nu-Calgon easy seal. They also serviced the other two units. In total it took two service personnel a total of a little over two hours to perform all tasks through remedy and further servicing . The charge was about nine hundred dollars in total, plus the coolant replacement cost. Rodenhizer’s approach was going to cost thousands more at double the cost just to identify where the leak was. Why would ever use them again?
