Rob did a wonderful job installing a new bathroom floor in our home. He is friendly and took his time talking to us to find out just what we wanted. He worked hard and cleaned up beautifully. He also has done a few porches and decks in our neighborhood which also came out very nice. We are so happy with our wonderful new floor and his pricing is very fair. We will be hiring him again for our next project.

Our job was mostly exterior except for a tall fixed window where the interior was also cleaned. The crew was on time, they are precise and knowledgeable. All of the cleaning was perfect. Next time we need to do the skylights and some other interior windows.

Frequently Asked Questions About Time To Shine Power Washing & Window Cleaning
Why do I need my house washed?
Maintaining a clean property is essential for both aesthetic appeal and long-term protection of your building materials. When mold, mildew, algae, and other airborne contaminants accumulate on exterior surfaces, they contribute to early paint failure and can cause permanent staining on siding, concrete, and gutters. Regular exterior washing is a cost-effective way to enhance your home's appearance. Homes with brick and stucco siding can also be safely cleaned with proper techniques. Additionally, health concerns arise when mildew and mold aren't addressed, as they can aggravate respiratory issues and allergies. Regular house washing prevents mildew from spreading indoors and creating new growth inside your home. Contact Time To Shine Power Washing & Window Cleaning today to connect with a reliable roof and house washing company.
Isn't mold a health problem?
Yes, mold and mildew present health risks, particularly for individuals with allergies and asthma. Our cleaning methods effectively remove mold from siding, trim, and concrete surfaces. If children play on driveways or walkways where mildew is present, those areas should be cleaned promptly. You don't want children touching their faces after contact with moldy surfaces. As a trusted roof and house washing company, we're dedicated to helping you eliminate mold-related concerns around your property. Contact us today to learn more.
Do you supply the water for homes with wells?
Yes, Time To Shine Power Washing will supply water using our fresh water tank system. While water can be brought to the site if necessary, we typically use the customer's water supply for residential pressure washing services. Compared to other roof and house washing companies, we provide a range of services designed to preserve your property while protecting water sources like your well.
Will the cleaning harm my plants?
Our cleaning process is completely safe for plants, people, and pets when applied correctly. Our specialized power washing method uses ultra-safe, self-neutralizing cleaning and rinsing agents. Unlike many roof and house washing companies, we emphasize eco-friendly solutions that effectively remove grime while remaining gentle on your surroundings.
Can you wash a house or deck in the rain?
Yes, since your house will be wet during the washing process, rain makes little difference. We will reschedule if hazardous conditions exist, such as lightning. Like other professional roof and house washing companies, safety remains our top priority when weather conditions present risks.
Do I have to be home on the day of service?
Time To Shine Power Washing accommodates your schedule by providing convenient cleaning service that doesn't require you to be present. If you won't be home during the scheduled service, please remember to close all windows, clear your driveway, and put away fragile decorations on your home and deck. Like many roof and house washing companies, we strive to make the process hassle-free while delivering high-quality results.
Can you remove oil stains on concrete from my garage or driveway that have been there for years?
Absolutely. Oil stains can penetrate concrete, and years of accumulation make restoration more challenging. Time To Shine uses chemicals and detergents that penetrate beneath the concrete surface to break down oils. Some stains will be completely removed, while others may leave a small gray mark after cleaning. Regardless, your concrete will look significantly better after restoration and cleaning. Unlike some roof and house washing companies, we specialize in deep concrete cleaning that addresses even the most stubborn, set-in stains.
There are small very dark raised spots on my siding in places. What is this and can you remove them?
The black raised spots are called artillery fungus spores, caused by a mushroom that grows in rotted mulch, bark, or wood chips. They're typically found in areas near or above mulch. This fungus shoots its spores into the air, which is why it's called artillery or shotgun fungus. Over time, the dots created by this fungus will fade. Artillery fungus is a white-rotting, wood-decay fungus that thrives on moist landscape mulch. Unfortunately, limited options exist for removing these dots. Besides power washing, the only alternative is hand-sanding the spots, which will leave marks on your siding. The most effective solution is installing new siding and maintaining space between your flower beds and siding. Some roof and house washing companies offer cleaning methods that may reduce the appearance of these spores, but complete removal is often not possible. Prevention is the best approach. Once artillery fungus appears, the recommended solution is completely removing all bark and hardwood mulch from around the home. This includes removing several inches of topsoil beneath the mulch bed, as spores can continue growing in the soil. Replace the mulch with non-organic materials, such as decorative stone or rubber mulch products. A safe method for completely removing these spores from siding or trim has not been identified.
How often should I get my house washed?
Based on our experience, houses should be washed every two to three years. Lighter-colored siding in heavily shaded areas may require annual washing. According to Grand View Research, the exterior window cleaning market grew by 6.8% in 2024, reflecting the growing demand for exterior maintenance services. Contact us today to connect with one of the area's most trusted roof and house washing companies.
Why can't I get an estimate over the phone or Internet?
This is a common question from our customers. Each job is unique and requires different chemicals, pressures, and cleaning methods. We visit each property for two reasons: First, to meet face-to-face with our customers so we can answer all your questions in person and explain our cleaning process. If you're not home when we provide the estimate, we'll email it to you along with a copy of our insurance. Second, we need to see the work that requires attention and evaluate it properly. This allows us to understand what to expect when work begins, and you can see what to expect after completion. As with most professional roof and house washing companies, a personal evaluation enables us to provide more accurate pricing and deliver better results.
Why is regular house washing important for my home?
Regular house washing maintains your property's appearance, protects structural integrity by removing mold, mildew, algae, and prevents premature paint and siding damage. It enhances curb appeal and safeguards health by reducing allergens.
Does mold on my house pose health risks?
Yes, mold and mildew can cause health problems, especially for those with allergies or asthma. Cleaning removes these substances from siding and play areas, helping prevent exposure to harmful spores.
Do you provide water supply for pressure washing if my home has a well?
We are equipped with a fresh water tank to supply water when needed, but usually use the customer's water supply for residential pressure washing.
Will the power washing process harm my plants or landscaping?
Our exclusive power wash method uses self-neutralizing cleaning agents, making it entirely safe for plants, people, and pets when properly applied.
Can you perform house or deck cleaning during rainy weather?
Yes, light rain doesn't significantly affect our cleaning because surfaces are wet anyway. We reschedule only for severe weather like lightning for safety reasons.
Do I need to be home when the cleaning service is performed?
No, you don’t need to be home. Just ensure windows are closed, driveway is clear, and fragile decorations are stored safely before service.
How do you handle stubborn oil stains on concrete that have been present for years?
We use specialized chemicals that penetrate concrete to break down oils, significantly improving appearance, although very old stains may leave faint marks.
What are the black lines on my gutters, and can they be removed?
They are caused by tar and asphalt runoff bonding electrostatically to gutters and can't be removed by power washing alone. We remove them using special chemicals and hand detailing.
