  Absolutely horrific experience and one of the most upsetting service encounters we've ever had. Our gas heating system began leaking liquid, so we called Unique Indoor Comfort, a Mass Save partner, expecting honest advice and professional service. Instead, we were left feeling completely taken advantage of. The technicians spent roughly two hours disassembling and inspecting the unit. One of them appeared to be intoxicated and strongly smelled of alcohol throughout the visit. After their inspection, we were told that the entire system needed to be replaced. We were charged nearly $500 for this diagnosis, and then they left. A few days later, a salesperson came to discuss replacement options and quoted us approximately $24,000 for a new system. Fortunately, I had already done some research and knew this price was more than double what comparable installations typically cost. We declined immediately. We then sought a second opinion from a local plumber. Within minutes, he identified the issue and explained that it was actually a straightforward repair requiring replacement parts from the manufacturer. The repair was completed successfully, and our total cost was under $1,000. He also confirmed that a replacement would have been $11,000. The contrast between the two experiences was shocking. We went from being told we needed a complete $24,000 replacement to resolving the issue with a simple repair for a fraction of the cost. What is especially concerning is that Unique Indoor Comfort is a Mass Save partner. Many homeowners trust recommendations from programs like Mass Save and assume they will be connected with reputable companies offering fair and honest service. Based on our experience, that trust was completely misplaced. We cannot recommend this company and would strongly encourage anyone facing a major repair or replacement recommendation from them to seek multiple opinions before making a decision.
