Junior and his team have been working with us over the past few months, and we are very satisfied with the quality of their work.
Last week, they installed a countertop at one of our client’s homes, and the result was excellent. Clean work, well executed, organized, and done with great attention to detail.
Thank you very much, Junior and your entire team, for your commitment and professionalism. It’s great to work with people who truly deliver what they promise.
Frequently Asked Questions About Noova Stone Custom Countertops
What materials do you offer for custom countertops?
We work with a comprehensive selection of premium materials, including granite, quartz, quartzite, porcelain, marble, and soapstone. Each material provides distinct advantages regarding durability, aesthetic appeal, maintenance requirements, and cost, enabling us to pair the ideal surface with your specific project needs.
What is the difference between quartz and natural stone?
Quartz is an engineered material created from natural quartz particles bonded with resins, providing uniform color patterns and minimal maintenance requirements. Natural stones such as granite, marble, and quartzite are extracted directly from quarries, resulting in distinctive patterns for each slab and different care requirements.
Which countertop material is the most durable?
Quartzite and granite rank among the most durable natural stone options, offering excellent resistance to heat and scratches. Quartz also delivers exceptional durability and features a non-porous surface, making it well-suited for high-traffic kitchens. Your ideal choice will depend on your specific usage requirements and preferences.
Do your countertops require sealing?
Sealing requirements vary by material. Granite, marble, and quartzite generally need regular sealing to prevent staining. Quartz and porcelain feature non-porous surfaces that don't require sealing. Soapstone doesn't need sealing, though it can be treated with mineral oil to enhance its appearance.
How long does the countertop fabrication and installation process take?
The typical project is finished within one week from the final measurement through installation. The exact timeline may vary based on material availability, the scope of your project, and any customization requirements.
Can I see the slabs before fabrication?
Absolutely. We recommend that customers view and choose their specific slab whenever possible. This allows you to confirm you're satisfied with the color, veining patterns, and overall appearance before we begin fabrication.
How do I maintain my countertops?
Care instructions differ based on the material you select. Quartz and porcelain require only basic cleaning with mild soap and water. Granite and quartzite need routine cleaning along with regular sealing. Marble requires gentle cleaning products and additional care to prevent etching. Soapstone can be oiled periodically if you want to deepen its color. We supply detailed care instructions with every installation.
Are your countertops heat- and scratch-resistant?
The majority of our materials provide strong heat and scratch resistance, particularly granite and quartzite. That said, we suggest using trivets and cutting boards to preserve your countertops and keep them looking beautiful for years to come.
Do you provide custom edge profiles and finishes?
Yes. We offer numerous edge profile options, including eased, beveled, bullnose, and ogee, along with various finishes such as polished, honed, and leathered. These options allow you to achieve the design aesthetic and functional requirements you're looking for.
Do you offer measurements and installation services?
Yes, we deliver comprehensive service that includes professional measurement (templating), fabrication, and skilled installation. This ensures your countertops fit your space with precision and are installed correctly.
