Really good company, owner and employees. Inspected our pipes prior to pumping the sand. We used 8 truck loads and now we don’t have any exposed foundation. I would definitely recommend them if you are in need of sand pumping.

Gator's did an excellent, professional job filling several large gaps that had developed beneath the foundation of our house. Did not give them a review immediately because I was waiting to see how well the sand fill held up through several downpours. After experiencing those downpours, we found that the fill material largely remained in place, with only minor displacement of small quantities apparent at a few surface locations. Well done!

I was simply told that my house did not need sand pumped under its foundation because there were absolutely no signs that sand pumping was needed. So I say that I received an honest answer for which I am very grateful.

Frequently Asked Questions About Gator's Sand Pumping LLC
What is sinkage?
Sinkage refers to the settling of ground that creates empty spaces beneath your concrete slab or results in depressed areas in your yard.
What is the process for sand pumping?
The sand pumping process involves two vehicles: a sand truck and a truck with a trailer. Sand is transferred from the truck through a specialized machine and pumped via hoses. In some instances, small holes are excavated around the slab's perimeter to access areas underneath the home, filling all reachable voids. The outer edges are also addressed for a neat finish. Water is used to wash in the sand, ensuring it's compacted and won't erode easily. We strongly recommend gutter extensions to prevent rainwater from washing away sand near downspouts due to concentrated water flow.
What is the estimated time of completion?
The completion time varies based on the amount of sand required, whether we're using one or two sand trucks, and the job location. When operating two trucks, we can typically complete four loads if the site is nearby, or three loads if it's further away, in a single day.
Do we need to be present upon arrival of crew?
Your presence isn't necessary if our crew has unobstructed access to the property perimeter, there are no locked gates, and no pets are in the yard.
How accurate is your sand estimate?
Our estimates are generally very accurate. Our estimator has over 15 years of experience and is typically either precise or within one load of the actual amount needed.
Will the price per load be the same if more is needed than the estimated amount?
Yes, the price per load remains consistent for any additional loads required. However, we will not exceed the estimated amount without first obtaining approval from the homeowner.
Why does price vary in different areas?
Price variations between areas are due to differences in travel distance and accessibility. These factors are considered to ensure our expenses are covered for each job.
With the 1 load minimum, if the full load isn't used can we put sand elsewhere?
Yes, any unused sand can be used to fill low areas around your property. However, you'll need to be present to direct the sand crew where to place the extra sand. Please note that we cannot transfer leftover sand to a different property.
About have many yards is 1 load of sand?
One load of sand typically contains approximately 15 cubic yards.
Can I schedule a sand estimate?
We don't schedule sand estimates. Our estimator conducts them when not engaged in other jobs and is in your area. We'll contact you to see if he can visit if you need to be present, or we'll inform you of his impending arrival if your presence isn't required.
