After more than 30 years of development, American Wastewater Systems, Inc., formerly Ace Plumbing and Sewer, Inc., has become a true leader in the wastewater treatment industry. We began operations early in 1981, by installing home sewer systems and working as master plumbers, all from the confines of our home-office-warehouse location. In 1992 we curtailed our plumbing business and concentrated more on the wastewater treatment industry. We bought a 5000 sq. ft. metal building on a 250’ X 260’ lot and proceeded to manufacture and continue to install home wastewater treatment plants. Four years later, in 1996, we expanded our operations and began to manufacture and install commercial treatment plants and lift stations. Within one year’s time we had become the largest distributor of commercial plants in the state of Louisiana, for Jet, Inc., a manufacturer of engineered wastewater treatment plants. American Wastewater Systems, Inc. established its corporate office location in June 1999. We purchased a new 16.5-acre location; featuring a two-story office complex with extensive warehouse space, an all-weather casting facility, and over 5 acres of cargo storage area for castings. By this time, we had become the largest Jet, Inc. commercial wastewater treatment plant distributor, not only in Louisiana, but also in the United States. We have designed our own “Class 1” residential wastewater treatment system called B.E.S.T. 1. With the successful testing and approval by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), we began manufacturing and marketing these units in May of 2000. Patent rights were secured on July 24, 2001 under Patent No. US D 445,477 S. Our B.E.S.T. 1 was the first ANSI/NSF Standard 40 system introduced to the Louisiana market and fully complies with the newly required regulations being enforced as of March 1, 2001.

    Mr Josh from AWS came out and took a look at my Plumbing issues. He was spot on with what was causing the problems and quickly knew how to fix them. He is fair and reasonable and really easy to talk to when I had questions. I will be using AWS going forward because of the kindness of Mr Josh and when I called for the appointment the Customer Service Representative was Great!!! Thank you guys again for taking care of our worries and issues.

    UPDATE 6/05/2026: Lies, because the ONLY way we were able to get a response after calling multiple times, leaving multiple messages AND emails was for my husband to go in person. When he went in person he spoke to a young man in charge who acknowledged his assistant/apprentice did this job on his own and that he (young man in charge at AWS) didn’t know when he could go fix it, that my husband should just fix it himself, which makes NO SENSE! Plus even if it was another company that y’all contracted out, wouldn’t this still fall under your umbrella or scope of work to fix since you got paid to do the entire job? So regardless of who did it, why is it our problem to fix when we didn’t make the mistake?!” ORIGINAL REVIEW: They broke our septic line drain and hide it by covering it up. We only knew about it once feces started coming out and going under our home. They admitted to knowing they broke it, but refuse to repair it.

    First class service from Ms. Sue in the office to Scotty coming to my home. He was very thorough in his troubleshooting and what issues it may be. I greatly appreciated his transparency as well. I will continue to utilize their service support moving forward.

    I had a sewage emergency that needed to be fixed asap. I called AWS and they had someone at my house within 30 minutes. If you're looking for a company to do the job right and professionally, then look no further!... I highly recommend giving them a call!!!

    I contacted American Wastewater Systems for service on my sewer plant, I cannot say enough good things about this company. The lady I spoke with, was so sweet and knowledgeable. My whole service experience was excellent, from start to finish. I highly recommend them and will definitely be a return customer.
