  We recently had an upstairs HVAC system replaced by Southern Comfort after buying our new home. During the quote process - which was same day! The helpful tech first offered to help troubleshoot and see if the older system could be repaired - potentially saving us thousands. I wish I still had the text with his name so I could add it here. Long story short though he found the previous owners simply topped up the fluids to make it seem like it was still running and that we could do a year+ fix for a few thousand or go ahead and replace the whole unit for a real fix. We chose the replacement but still needed to sleep up there in the meantime so he got the okay to top us up to get us through the few nights before the new system could be put in. He was over for easily over an hour to make it work for those two extra nights which was so helpful! On the install day we had Cody and Ryan working on the job. I was so impressed with how thoughtful and courteous they were while working in our home. We’ve been working with a lot of different contractors these past few weeks and Southern Comfort has definitely been one of the best companies to work with. In addition to the different workers, the pricing options and job offers were always laid out clearly. There were no surprise add-on’s and honestly I’m pretty sure we had that first quote and top-up work greatly discounted or free despite easily an hour of real work happening. You really never know who will end up in your house for different services. I would definitely recommend Southern Comfort based on the three different men who were here. Thank you for the very thorough, honest, and thoughtful work!

  Just had SCHC replace an outdoor heat pump and indoor air handler for my house. Henry did the diagnostic work and was exceptionally thorough. Jason and Ryan did the install as efficiently as one could ask. The work, from start to finish, was professional and diligent. The price was reasonable and matched the proposal to the dollar. If you are in the Lexington, Kentucky area (I'm in Richmond), these are the guys to use for your HVAC needs. Absolute win.

  Southern Comfort HVAC has been fantastic to work with! They’ve done great work for us twice now, and both experiences have been excellent. Henry was our technician both times and he deserves a special shoutout. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to make sure everything was done right. I also feel like their pricing is very fair. We’ll definitely continue using Southern Comfort HVAC and highly recommend them!

  I had an excellent experience with Austin from Southern Comfort Heating & Cooling! He was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to make sure everything was taken care of properly. He explained everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made the entire process easy and stress-free. It’s hard to find service this dependable and personable these days, and Austin truly went above and beyond. You can tell he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about his customers. I would absolutely recommend Southern Comfort Heating & Cooling to anyone needing HVAC service, and I’ll definitely be requesting Austin again in the future. Five stars all the way!

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Service — Tyler Went Above and Beyond! If you’re looking for a technician who truly goes the extra mile, Tyler is the one you want! We had an emergency repair that turned out to be much more challenging than expected. The problem required climbing into an attic filled with insulation to track down a hidden nail that was causing the issue. Tyler didn’t hesitate. He carefully diagnosed the problem, determined exactly where the issue was, located the nail, and got it repaired. What impressed us most was Tyler’s professionalism, attitude, and work ethic. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and incredibly hardworking throughout the entire job. Despite the difficult and uncomfortable conditions, he never complained once. He simply focused on getting the job done right. We are extremely grateful for Tyler and the excellent service he provided.
