If I could give less than one star, I would. This place is literally the worst place that I have EVER done business with. We purchased a runner to be installed LAST JULY. We set the installation date for mid-August at Diana's recommendation. She rescheduled us SIX times. Each time was on the day of the appointment and for a number of different lies. Her installer was sick, he was scared of immigration, he got in a car accident, he was at another job, his back was hurt, they didn't have the carpet (?). I was patient and understanding each time but started to get frustrated. They finally came to install it end of November, beginning of December. Within ONE month of it being installed, the binding started coming off in multiple places and was pulled off and frayed completely in one section. When I reached out about getting it fixed/replaced, I was told that it was probably a vacuum (?) that did it. Shouldn't I be able to vacuum my stairs without a new product being damaged? Diana lied YET AGAIN and told me that even though it wasn't their fault (?) she would replace it. At that time I was told that they could replace the single section that was severely damaged without having to pull up the entire runner. We were rescheduled TWICE before an installer and Diana's son came out to let us know that they did not have the supplies they needed to fix it because they actually WOULD need to tear the entire runner up and redo it. I reached out to Diana who scheduled me for a replacement installation that has now been rescheduled FOUR times. We have texted, we have called, we have gone into the store. Nothing has changed, nothing has happened, and she has still yet to take responsibility for being a TERRIBLE business owner. At this point, we have threatened legal action to which we were told "go ahead but we provided the service we said we would." We have asked for a refund and been denied. We have asked to pick up our replacement carpet ourselves so that we could have another more reliable carpet service install it. And she has said TWICE now that she is unable to get the carpet despite having taken the time off for us to pick it up. We finally were able to pick the carpet up from the store ourselves and take it to Carpet One where they bound it and installed it for us within 2 weeks. If you can avoid Kevin’s Carpets DO IT. It is not worth your time, energy, or money.

Do yourself the biggest favor of your life and just drive another 200 yards up the road to Lowe's to get your carpeting or flooring. You can thank me later.

I would not recommend Kevin's Carpets based on our experience. I worked directly with the owner throughout this entire process, from the initial in-home consultation and scheduling through installation and follow-up communication. The owner personally walked through our home prior to booking the project, so the scope of the job, furniture, and layout were all seen firsthand before scheduling. After multiple reschedules leading up to the installation, my primary concern was ensuring our home remained safe and livable for our small children and pets during the carpet installation. Because of that, I expressed my concerns several times and had multiple conversations to ensure the home would remain in a condition where we could safely return at the end of the day, even if work ran longer than expected. I was told the project would likely be an 8–5 installation and that if additional time was needed, the home would still be left safe and livable overnight. Instead, the installation stretched across two full days; installers worked until 1 AM Sunday morning, and our family was displaced from our home for two days and two nights because the house was not in a safe or livable condition for our children and pets to return while the work was underway. Had we been told upfront that this was realistically a multi-day installation, we would have planned very differently. Instead, we relied on the expectations and reassurances that were communicated to us throughout the scheduling process. To be fair, the carpet itself looks beautiful, and the installers worked very hard. My frustration is not with the final product, but with the repeated scheduling delays, unrealistic expectations, lack of communication, and overall customer experience surrounding the installation process. We also incurred additional out-of-pocket expenses because we were displaced from our home during the installation. In addition, after the installation was complete, we discovered damage to our master bedroom dresser that occurred during the moving/reinstallation process. We reported the issue and were told someone would contact us regarding next steps, but several days later, we still have not received any follow-up. I reached out directly to the owner multiple times during and after the project to discuss a reasonable resolution. Despite those efforts, there has been no meaningful follow-up. Edit following owner response: At no point was the condition of our home hidden from the owner. The owner personally walked through the home prior to booking the project, and I specifically raised concerns in advance about the amount of furniture/items in the home and what the installation process would realistically look like for our family. My frustration was never simply that the project took longer than expected. It was the repeated assurances regarding timeline, livability, and communication throughout the process that ultimately did not match the reality of the installation weekend. After posting my review, I received a text message from the owner stating that a refund had been considered but would no longer be offered because of the review itself. Prior to posting publicly, I attempted for several days to resolve concerns privately regarding both the installation experience and the dresser damage.

We had a great experience with Kevin's Carpets when we had floor covering for 3 bedrooms. Even though we had a problem with our order, they made it right, the installers were great, and we even had them install the carpet in our daughter's home, as well!

PLEASE AVOID! While Kevin's Carpets was a thriving business for more than 20 years, they have admitted financial troubles recently that, according to my own experience and other reviews, are becoming expensive problems for their customers to rectify. We ordered carpet and laminate in early August. There was no rush on the carpet, but we were told to expect "a week or two" on the laminate. After a month, and numerous excuses, we cancelled the entire $8,000+ order. A full refund was promised, but more than a month has passed and we have only received $5,000 cash back. When we tried to recoup the rest, we were told by Kevin "we have no money currently" and follow up discussions have yielded the same result. This business model is not sustainable, and our experience was quite deceptive. Kevin and Diana were great to work with in the past, but I cannot recommend the store in its current state. Buyer beware.
