  In December last year - 2025, Daunhauer installed a hot water heater at a rental house I have in Lexington KY. Apparently, there is an issue with the Lexington city code – it has been rejected twice when they inspected. I’m not sure what the issue is – (I’m not a plumber.) I spoke with the city inspector and he asked that I have them please call him - I provided his contact information to Dauenhauer. I have placed numerous calls and texts to every contact that I have for Dauenhauer and (I guess) I'm speaking with the dispatcher on the calls (there have been no response to my texts) – the dispatcher has been very professional but the issue still remains. I have been promised a return phone call with an explanation, but that has not happened. It is now May and the issue still remains.

  My shower faucet would not turn off so we had to shut water down in entire house for almost a day. After calling another company first to repair they stripped my handle and the cartridge could not be replaced without this other company sawing the handle off. Once in there they could not get the bolt loose to remove the cartridge and therefore could not finish the job without adding 700.00 more dollars which would have made the repair 1200.00. I called Dauenhauer and Elijah was dispatched he came within an hour and was able to remove that bolt in less than 5 minutes. He was able to fix and repair my faucet in less than an hour and the price was way less than this other company. Elijah S is a life saver

  Jimmy was so patient and knowledgeable and kind! There was quite a bit of work to be done, including replacing copper tubing, repairing a leak from the shower drain, and resetting a toilet. Jimmy completed all the work with care and precision and cleaned up the area to perfection. I am totally delighted and will be calling for Jimmy again when I need plumbing work!

  Unexpected leak under sink due to garbage disposal. Not able to use sink. I called, requested service, scheduled, and they arrived shortly thereafter. Anthony our technician was knowledgeable. He went to work, provided several solutions, procured the parts, completed repair. I appreciate that the company understands that if you’re calling with a plumbing issue, you need help Immediately. During the visit. A additional bathroom issue addressed. It was not part of the original request. It was serviced saving me time and an additional service call. Anthony completed both projects. I will gladly call this co. again.

  I actually had a terrible experience to tell the truth. And I'll never call again. To start off, guy called me a few minutes before 8, saying he would be at my house between 20-30 minutes, which would have put him here around 8:30. Did not show up until after 9. Guy was rude and condescending. He kept telling me things "should" be fine when it comes to gas lines in my house, got mad when my wife went to get a $5 part that he wanted to go get and charge me well over $100 for. Finally convinced him to go under my house and check the gas lines, which he went out to get his little head lamp. Came back into MY house, stood in my entry way and stared at me like he had a problem. After he stopped staring at me, he finally went in the crawlspace, then comes back into MY house again with the same smart ass comments and looked at me to say "you seem very choosy of what you want to pay for" when I told him I'm not happy with "should be fine answers". To top it all off, looks at me and said, well you could have done this yourself, you've done most of the work, you even had "her" (my wife) go get the part, which I'll add wasn't even needed. I wish I would have never called you all to begin with, and sure with I had not have paid you $100 for some smart ass with a bad attitude to come into MY house and act the way he did. I paid $100 for him to do nothing but disrespect me and be a smart ass in my own home and I'm still not happy about it... I don't know how he normally acts but if he does this to everyone I'm surprised you all still have a business left. My husband left this review today to the company and he heard no response lol. UPDATE 4/23/26 I have called for days regarding this matter and one man was helpful stating that management would call. They left my husband a voicemail, I called back and left a message requesting a call back on this matter and they will not return our calls. This is absolutely ridiculous. I will continue to call until we have answers as to why this business treated us this way.
