Kyle from Re-Nu came out today and was very professional and straightforward and did a great job explaining everything and making sure my questions were answered. Tyler called me after the visit to go over different financing options and was also very helpful and both of these guys work for a great company. 5 stars from me all the way around. Thank you!

I had foundation and crawlspace concerns since I have lots of drainage in my back yard when it rains. With knowledgeable explanation I didn't need anything done to my foundation. My crawlspace had some moisture and a little mold/mildew. My insulation needed to be taken down and disposed of. They did a great job on this. Then they encapsulated my entire crawlspace with a dehumidifier and sump pumps. From start to finish the Jason and the was very knowledgeable in answering all my questions. From start to finish Jason and his team arrived on time, kept the work area clean, and even took care of a couple of snakes. Jason explained the dehumidifier and sump pump alarms and the indoor dehumidifier monitor. He told me to call if I noticed it not working. L now have a dry crawlspace, no musty smell.
I would without a doubt recommend Ru-Nu to my family and friends. I am very satisfied with their work.

Do you know how sick mold can make you? We didnt… until we did! Mold was growing in our damp house crawl space . We didn’t know where to start or who to call. A friend suggested Re-Nu Crawlspce and Basements.
We called Joshua and crew. We were pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and the great job they did. They pulled out soaking wet insulation, sprayed all the molded wood, scrubbed that wood BY HAND WITH BRUSHES! They then fogged the crawlspace with more mold killer. They dug a drain ditch that goes out away from the house underground and installed sump pumps that will set off an alarm should any water problems ever develop again. They then put in new thick plastic to cover the ground. I know Jason and the other workers did more but that’s what i know because i asked questions… lots of questions. Jason was helpful and patient. My husband and I truly recommend ReNu Crawlspace and Basement to anyone with mold, water ,crawl space, and basement problems. Thanks guys!

Had Re-Nu do a full encapsulation of my crawlspace as I was renovating a house and it was the best decision I made. Absolutely the cleanest crawlspace I’ve seen humidity and temp in the crawlspace stays a very consistent temp and percentage

We had moisture and mold concerns in our crawlspace and basement and decided to work with Re-Nu after talking with several companies. From start to finish, their team was knowledgeable, professional, and communicative. They took the time to clearly explain what was causing the issues in our home and walked us through the best solutions, including crawlspace encapsulation and waterproofing options. Throughout the project, they kept the work area clean, showed up when they said they would, and left everything in great condition when they were finished.
Their crew’s attention to detail and workmanship gave us confidence that the problem was being resolved right the first time. We now have a dry, healthy space under our home — and I’d absolutely recommend Re-Nu to friends or neighbors who need crawlspace or basement work done.
Frequently Asked Questions About Re-Nu Crawlspace & Basements
What areas does Re-Nu Crawlspace & Basements serve?
We serve homeowners across western Kentucky, southern Indiana, and southeastern Illinois, with offices in Henderson, Eddyville, and Evansville. We regularly work in Owensboro, Paducah, Madisonville, Hopkinsville, Princeton, Murray, Mt. Vernon, Newburgh, and Vincennes.
What is crawlspace encapsulation, and do I need it?
Crawlspace encapsulation seals the dirt floor and walls of a crawlspace with a heavy-duty vapor barrier to block ground moisture, humidity, and pests. Signs you may need it include a musty smell in the house, high humidity upstairs, visible mold, or standing water under the home.
Can mold in a crawlspace or basement be removed permanently?
Mold remediation removes existing growth, but it comes back if the moisture source isn't fixed. That's why we pair mold remediation with encapsulation, waterproofing, or drainage work that addresses the root cause.
How do I know if I need basement waterproofing?
Common signs are visible water on the floor after rain, damp or musty smells, white mineral deposits (efflorescence) on the walls, and peeling paint. A free onsite inspection identifies the source before we recommend interior or exterior waterproofing.
What's the difference between interior and exterior basement waterproofing?
Interior waterproofing manages water after it enters, using drainage systems and a sump pump — it's less invasive and lower cost. Exterior waterproofing excavates around the foundation to install a membrane and drainage board that stops water before it reaches the wall, which is a bigger job but more effective long-term.
What causes a bowing or cracked basement wall?
Bowing and cracked walls are usually caused by hydrostatic pressure — expansive soil pushing against the foundation after it absorbs water. We repair early-stage bowing with carbon fiber straps (Carbon Guard) and more advanced movement with steel I-beams.
Can a sagging floor be fixed without tearing it out?
Yes. A sagging floor is almost always a support problem underneath, not a problem with the floor itself. We install support posts, beams, or push piers below the affected area to lift and stabilize it without replacing the floor.
Do you repair settling or cracked foundations?
Yes. We diagnose the cause of settling, cracking, or shifting and repair with foundation push piers, crack injection, or wall reinforcement depending on severity.
How much does crawlspace encapsulation or basement waterproofing cost?
It depends on the size of the space and the extent of the moisture or structural issue, so we don't quote a flat rate — every project starts with a free onsite inspection so the number reflects your home specifically.
