Have had two issues with this company. They were very good to us when we first started using them so I was disappointed in how the quality of service declined over the years:
First issue: When they installed the septic tank to my husband’s shop *we found it floating out of the ground*. The codes inspector said that they forgot to fill it with water at the time of install, she called him and had him come and fix it. I would not have left a bad review over that alone because accidents happen and they made it right. So when we had an emergency we called them and that is where it got worse:
Second issue: Sent a crew out at an emergency rate for a simple pump who misdiagnosed our issue. Instead of pumping that day they said we have to wait for excavation equipment to "repair the line" as a damaged line was the issue and that the tank wasn’t full. After using public restrooms over the holidays with our family in town while waiting over a week for their excavation equipment to repair our line they finally showed back up and discovered that all that it needed was in fact just a pumping. The tank was in fact full. Our bill came and in addition to the pumping they charged $625 for the day the crew came out and told us it didn’t need pumped. They also had the charge for excavations which they didn’t and up needing to do. The owner did adjust the excavation after us repeatedly calling and reminding him but refused to adjust the emergency visit where they did nothing but make us wait over a week needlessly without use of our toilets. So essentially we paid $1025 for their errors and to wait over a week to have our septic pumped. Won’t be trusting their crews in the future as one didn’t fill a newly installed tank with water and one didn’t know how to check the tank to see that it was full.

Had a septic system installed. Couldn't have gone any better. Southern Septic took care of everything, permits having the water and electric lines marked. They arrived in the morning and were done that day. The job came in a good bit under what the estimate was. I have already recommended them to a neighbor. This is what a small town company is supposed to be. Thanks Southern Septic!

I rarely post reviews, but this company saved my bacon this past Saturday. I am new to septic systems and discovered our downstairs toilet would not flush. I called Southern Septic, and two guys were out to my house with an excavator and tanker truck in less than two hours on a Saturday morning. The problem was routine, and they had my tank suctioned before noon. THANK YOU Southern Septic!

Searches say they’re open 24 hours, they’re not. And the after hours technician for emergencies doesn’t answer the phone.
