  Ian Smith helped me out today. I could not be more pleased. He was fabulous. Clearly explained all my issues and gave me several options to resolve all my issues. He is professional and friendly. I am extremely pleased with my service and highly recommend him and A1 Garage. He even offered to buy me something cold to drink when he called to let me know his arrival time! I’m 67 and have never received such service! 10 out 10 for Ian. If you’re reading this the powers that be, give this man a raise! Thank you!

  Kayden was a very nice and polite individual. However, they quoted $2000 for a replacement garage door opener. The price of the garage door opener online was about $400, and I got quotes from other companies that were coming in at around $ 1,000 or $1,500 to replace both door lifters. For transparency, they did offer a lifetime warranty with that price. However, the hardware that they have installed also comes with a 10-year manufacturer's warranty. I was rather surprised that they reached out to me asking for a Google review, so I gave my rating based on the quoted rate.

  Ian was fabulous despite their being a snafu in my ability to fix my key pad. The ladies on the phone too exceeded my expectations. There's lotsa garage companies out there and I ended up settling on A1 and am very happy I did. Ian did me right and solid. Stellar employee and easy to do business with your company

  Chris did a great job installing the new spring, belt and rail. He ran into an electrical issue with the opener and did a good job of troubleshooting the problem and explaining it, but couldn’t get it fixed. He arranged for another tech with more electrical experience to come take a look. Overall, I was pleased with Chris’ work.

  We requested service because it appeared our garage door motor was no longer working, requiring us to open the door manually. We got a quick response to our phone call and were able to schedule an appointment right away. The person who answered the phone was lovely. Our technician, Ian, texted to verify our appointment on the day of service and communicated again when he was on the way. He took the time to explain exactly what he was going to do to see if the motor was actually the problem and gave us several estimates, based on what he might find. The motor did need to be replaced, but to be thorough (especially in light of the age of our door) Ian explained he wanted to check everything else to be sure there were no other concerns. Before doing so, he explained again, exactly what he was going to do and what he was looking for, letting us know what other costs might apply should anything be found. As it turned out, there were other repairs necessary. Ian was professional, courteous, and clearly knowledgeable, He communicated during the entire process, giving us all possible cost options for everything required to complete the necessary issues and answered any additional questions I had. I would highly recommend A1 and Ian should I have any garage door needs in the future.
