If I could give zero stars, I would. This is hands down one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. We spent approximately $6,800 on hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators, and the quality of the product we received was absolutely unacceptable. This wasn’t us being picky about the normal variations you expect with real hardwood. We fully understand that wood has natural knots, grain and color variation. What we received went WAY beyond that. Boards had inconsistent widths, significant differences in stain and finish, splits/checking, unfilled knots and even actual holes. Flooring advertised as 4” wide included boards measuring closer to 3⅞”. The inconsistencies were bad enough that our installers would not install it and our entire project came to a halt. What made the situation even worse was the customer service. Lumber Liquidators hides behind a 30-day policy regardless of the circumstances. We were only about 20 DAYS past that window when we discovered and reported these issues. Anyone who has ever renovated a home knows how unrealistic a 30-day window can be for building materials. Flooring is often purchased well in advance because there are a million other things that have to happen before installation can begin. Ours sat INSIDE our home in a temperature-controlled environment until we were ready for installation. The defects weren’t discovered until the boxes were opened and the material was actually being prepared for installation. We contacted the store as soon as we discovered the problem. Even the store immediately recognized that this needed to go to corporate. We spoke with multiple people, provided photos/videos and explained the situation repeatedly. Corporate’s response essentially came down to: you’re outside 30 days, so too bad. At one point, the “resolution” offered was compensation for ONE BOX of flooring. On a roughly 1,100-square-foot project. Absolutely insulting. My family has renovated and flipped homes for YEARS, and my dad had been a loyal Lumber Liquidators customer for a very long time. We weren’t asking for something unreasonable. We had a legitimate quality issue with thousands of dollars of material that could not be properly installed. The craziest part is that the worst-case scenario for this company would have been allowing us to return defective flooring and actually standing behind the product they sold. Instead, over being approximately 20 days outside their policy, they chose to lose longtime customers permanently. That tells me everything I need to know about how much they value their customers. If you are renovating, I would strongly recommend buying your flooring somewhere else. A 30-day return window means very little when serious manufacturing and quality issues aren’t apparent until you actually open the material and begin installation. Based on our experience, they do not stand behind the quality of what they sell when something goes wrong. Terrible quality. Terrible customer service. Terrible accountability. We will never purchase from Lumber Liquidators again, and I would strongly encourage anyone spending thousands of dollars on flooring to think twice before doing business here.

I rarely leave reviews, but I had to share how helpful Drew has been. Our dishwasher broke and we had to replace our flooring, he was so professional and responsive as we had to work with insurance timelines to re-install. He is fantastic!

Terrible experience and horrible customer service. Purchased Coreluxe Vinyl plank flooring from Lumber Liquidators. Planks locking system was brittle and broke off time after time. We returned the product to the store for a refund due to it being a defective product. They would not return open boxes and kept the 25% restocking fee for all boxes even though their product was defective. I was not offered any resolution besides calling customer care. No offer of resolution, no offer of exchange for another product and no offer to make the situation better. I was passed off to customer service and told it was us that was the problem. I was told my 15 year-old home’s subfloor was the problem and our installation was the problem. Lumber liquidators takes no accountability and does not back up their product. I am now left with a bill for opened boxes and a 25% restocking fee for the unopened ones they took back and I have no flooring from them.
