- MWM WApr 29, 20264.0Must say I was disappointed to find the repair was done with PEX pipe instead of sweating in a new copper pipe. However, I didn’t ask before the job, I just assumed, so that’s my fault. It was a neat and tidy repair. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is I found the carpet, wall and insulation in my storage closet soaked with water. (As in dripping soaked). I had to get towels to soak it up and then run a fan all day to dry the remaining moisture. Mold in my closet and behind my insulation was the last thing I wanted.
