  Called for same-day service and received it! The technician called within an hour of us reaching out to the office and was able to come out pretty quickly. He did a thorough inspection, explained what he found, and made the necessary repairs in a timely manner. Brock was friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. I’d definitely recommend requesting Brock and using A+ Derr for any services they offer!

  I called A+ Derr in the morning when we realized our ac wasn’t working and they were at our house and had it fixed within an hour! I would highly recommend them for fast and awesome service!

  Our water heater went out last Thursday evening. Customer service told us someone would be out first thing Friday morning. When we spoke to them Friday morning, they said they were "very busy and would het to you when we can". We were quoted $2400 for a 50 gal natural gas tank. They ran credit checks and said they would call us to get it scheduled for MONDAY service. We called multiple times on Friday and never heard back. We called AGAIN this morning, and were told they would "give us a call as soon as they could." We were fed up this morning and gave another local company a call. They quoted us immediately for the same tank and service/warranty, but $500 less than what Derr quoted us, and guaranteed they would be out this afternoon.

  Let me start by saying we had our system completely replaced 9 yrs ago by this company and had a great experience. I thought when we needed a repair that it would be the same. I was wrong. Our air conditioning wasn’t cooling inside suddenly. Room temp air was coming from the inside registers. Inspection outside showed that the fan wasn’t turning. We checked filters (just had replaced a few months back) and checked connections etc. Assumed the capacitor was out as that’s common. Didn’t notice any sort of frosting of the lines etc and the house didn’t have any cooling issues prior to the fan stopping. A friend in HVAC agreed it was likely capacitor but couldn’t get to it for several days. We decided to bite the cost bullet and hire A+ to fix it. The tech came out and started doing everything possible without any communication. Instead of telling my spouse that xyz needs repair and will cost this much, he just went ahead. He replaced our filter (we had two extras above the unit inside the garage) without asking. Those are normally $80 a piece. Not needed. He fixed the capacitor. Fine. BUT he started filling the system with refrigerant which is astronomical in cost to the consumer. He never told him it was low. We went back and reviewed security camera footage to find out it took him roughly 2 minutes to fill the system with 3.5 lb which is not possible. From the time he took the refrigerant to the unit and back to speak with my husband about it needing 3.5 lb was less than 2 min. It should have taken at least 25-30 min to instill that. And with that kind of loss, there should have been signs of a leak such as frosting or cooling issues inside. That cost over $700 in refrigerant without asking us if we wanted it. Then he spent more time trying to “find a leak” and couldn’t find one. He made plans to send someone out the next day to spend even more time and money to fix it. I sent the bill ($1260) to our hvac friend and he was flabbergasted. A $20 repair cost us over $1200 by the time they were done first day. I told them I didn’t want them to come back anymore and that we had paid enough. There isn’t a leak and we are just out that money. I called to complain how there was zero communication about repairs/costs or the option of refusing services and was told it would be escalated to management. Well that may help someone else in the future, but doesn’t help us regain the monetary loss we endured. Beware.

  LaFonzo is the best! He has been servicing my new unit 2x a year since A+ Derr put it in about 6 years ago. He is so helpful, courteous, professional and polite. He always goes the extra mile to take care of my AC/furnace. I also like that he points things out that need to be noticed. I’m sure they have other wonderful contractors that service, but I’m glad it’s always LaFonzo I get. He’s consistent and reliable. He’s a great face of the brand and what they stand for.
