  My parents paid this company a deposit, but the job was never started. They have now been without air conditioning for over three weeks while trying to get answers. Their calls and texts were largely ignored, and when they finally received a response, they were told the job had to be rescheduled. The most recent explanation was that the heat wave and emergency calls caused the delay. The frustrating part is that my parents are without air conditioning during the heat wave, making their situation an emergency too. When they requested a refund of their deposit since no work had been completed, they were told a salesman would have to contact them. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. Taking a customer's deposit, failing to show up, leaving them without air conditioning for weeks, and then failing to communicate is completely unacceptable. Based on how this has been handled, I would not recommend this company.

  There are many other HVAC companies you should choose from in the Michiana area. They will charge you a $95 trip fee to come to your home(which they tell you about), and a $150 diagnostic fee, which they do not tell you about, to fulfill the same purpose. Even the customer service agent said on the phone they are the “fees to come to your house.” I called customer service to ask to speak to a manager and a over week later I’m still waiting on a call back. They also signed me up for a monthly membership I did not sign up for. So a visit to get a quote costed $260, because they also charged me for their vehicles fuel.

  We got into a pickle this week with the hot weather, having our AC died on us. HCE was exceptionally prompt at coming out to diagnose the issue. After all the tests it was discovered it'd be best in the long run to buy a new system instead of fixing the old one. They were able to come out the very next day (today) and install the new unit. They got everything installed and cleaned up in great time and our house now has AC! WhooHooo! The fellas were very professional and knowledgeable. There's a great reason why we've been with HCE for 14 years. They've always been quick to come out to the house and very helpful with issues when they arise. I recommend being part of their membership because they take great care of the units every season with no headaches on our end.

  I’m sure you’ve heard “you get what you pay for.” I’ve been around long enough to state “That depends…”. We have been members of Home Comfort Experts Club for over a decade. Do we pay extra for convenience?? Yes. Is it worth it? YES!!!! This morning, I called to say we had no hot water. As a club member, I get preferential treatment. Nathan was at our house before 11am, diagnosed the problem (RIP 12 yr old water heater), and a new one was installed before 3. Had we gone to a box store and spent less, I would have had to figure out delivery of the water heater, finding a plumber (or waiting a week for a box store plumber), and then all the scheduling and delivery junk that comes with it. Yes, I’m paying for convenience. But I’m saving MY VALUABLE TIME, which is priceless. I’ll keep my paying for my club membership and know that I don’t get charged a premium for holidays and weekends, which is always when something breaks. I’m super picky about customer service. I want the “Disney experience.” I get that with Home Comfort Experts! Our tech was very nice, professional, and gave me honest answers to my questions. I’d also recommend Nathan as a plumber!

  When doing my A/C and Furnace maintenance (the end of MAY), they found a problem with one on the boards on my A/C system that was installed 2/2024. Here it is a month later and the part still hasn’t come in and I have NO AC! I call and they put the blame and the call off onto Mariah who came out to help repair it. The blame is not hers. The company can’t replace parts in a timely manner and throw their employees under the bus! I have the club membership and a pretty new system and I am left sitting here in the heat, calls not being returned! How/why would you sell and install products you can’t provide parts for??? They won’t even pull a board from an unsold unit to at least get my system going with this heat wave we are just getting. They keep promising me a return phone call, but it doesn’t come. I had left a review shortly after their initial visit, but have since pulled. The company responded as if it was them that rated the good review. The review I pulled was ONLY about the 2 employees who were out and they were great and certainly tried to help, but that is NOT my review of the company as a whole. A friend had a service appt booked, got a call that they overbooked and needed to reschedule, when they called to reschedule, they were offered the same appt time that was just cancelled on them! I would not recommend getting a furnace/AC system from this company. I am so unhappy with Home Comfort and the service/support they provide, or in this case do NOT provide. I have not even been contacted by anyone in management or customer service or of any authority despite all my calls about the heat and it being a month with no AC. Buyer beware!!! They are all over it when trying to make a sale, but this soon after install and they turn their backs on a newer customer, with no AC and here comes the 2nd heat wave since I was left with no working AC, and still not even a returned phone call. They have no desire or interest in making this right!
