  Chapman did excellent work. Our water heater has been having issues and was still under warranty. They came and looked at the water heater and determined a replacement was necessary. Water heater replaced and just had to pay for labor I believe. I appreciate the extra work in looking at our temperature control in our tub/shower. They determined what the problem is quickly. Highly recommend Chapman for your plumbing needs.

  Jacob Leigh with Chapman Heating & Cooling did an outstanding job on our routine AC maintenance for our annual service agreement. Checked everything thoroughly, not just a quick 10 minute job. Wore his shoe covers each time he came in the house (thank you!). Cleaned the outside unit better than it probably ever has been cleaned before. Secured the inside unit so another mouse doesn't get in (ick). Super calm guy, makes you feel like he's got this, no problem. Great communication every step of the way. Afterwards. he cleaned everything up ship shape. I will definitely be asking for him again for the winter tune-up! A+A+A+A+A+A+

  We had a plumbing emergency. Every drain was backing up and we had a few terrible messes. My wife is recovery for surgery and not having working plumbing was not an option. I’m a DIY guy and spent Saturday trying to solve the problem and save money. I knew I’d installed a clean-out 35 years ago, but after a day of digging and probing I gave up. That meant we needed a service call Sunday morning. Heidi was the answer. I wanted to use Chapman. (I’ve personal experience with the company going back almost 45 yrs.) Their A.I. scheduler did its job. We had a plumber, at a reasonable price, communicating with us before 8:00 am. Heidi listened to my explanation and understood — and agreed — with my analysis of the problem. She quoted me a price and in under an hour our problems were solved. She was delighted to work work with. In the end I was charged a bit less than the quoted price. Our toilets and sinks are functioning, I’ve mopped the floors and cleaned. We are good to go. Thank you, Heidi, and the Chapman Team! I will not hesitate to call again for plumbing and HVAC service.

  Sorry for the long review – but I’ve always felt that if you are giving someone one star it deserves a lot of explanation. I came back from vacation and noticed the air conditioner in my attic had overflowed its pan and leaked through my ceiling. I just used a quick AI prompt to recommend an HVAC company that serviced geothermal units in the area and prioritize by reviews, which is how I came to Chapman. I assumed I had a clogged drain line, but the technician arrived and quickly told me my unit was low on R 22. Chapman apparently does not keep a store of R 22 since it is no longer created so he sent out a salesman to quote me a new unit. I was skeptical because other technicians from other companies have refilled small amounts of R22 in the past, but knowing I had an older unit, I was fine with getting a quote. I was away, but when the sales rep arrived, he gave my wife the “little lady “treatment. He explained that if she were to find another technician to refill the R 22 it would be illegal. He told her he could not replace one of our units without also replacing our downstairs unit. And he eventually quoted us a price of $80,000. Obviously, I was not going to accept that so I called a local HVAC company who came out and told me that my only issue with the upstairs unit was a clogged drain line. The Chapman technician had not even checked it. I was not at all low on R 22. The Chapman technician did not even check the water levels in my geothermal unit which were empty. I went ahead and asked for a quote for a new unit since I know mine are old and at some point, I will not be able to refill the R 22, and was quoted 12,000 per unit and reassured that I could certainly replace one at a time without being required to replace both. So not only did Chapman give me a false diagnosis in order to trick me into buying a new unit, the quote they gave me for the new units was about $56,000 more. The other company fixed my drain line, installed a new float switch, refilled my geothermal water lines all for $600. So I figure I saved about $79,400 by not using Chapman.

  I am very disappointed with my experience. The technician, Michael Cherry, installed three sump pumps in my home this week. The installation appears to have been completed, and I hope it was done correctly. My concern is with the integrity and professionalism of the service. After the installation, I was asked to sign additional documents, believing they were simply the final invoice. Michael recommended the annual membership plan and told me the first year would be free. Later, I discovered the membership agreement and first year fees had been included in the paperwork including changes to the cost of the parts. When I contacted the office, his manager spoke with him, but Michael denied making those statements, including our discussion about pricing and the complimentary first-year membership. That was very disappointing. I also noticed he reused some of the existing connecting pipes from the old installation. When I asked why, he said it was easier. I asked whether that would reduce the cost, and he replied that the company does not charge for the connecting PVC. Really? In addition, he placed my battery backup display in his truck and only returned it after I asked about it, saying he thought I didn’t need it. My advice to other customers is to carefully read every document before signing, take photos of all paperwork for your records before and after and watch what the technician is using for parts. I hope the company addresses these concerns, as honesty and transparency are just as important as the quality of the installation.
