  Let's start with the backstory. Due to power loss and recent torrential downpours our basement ended up flooding. As a result we took in about 6 inches of water. Our hot water heater was trashed as a result, granted our furnace was safe due to it being on blocks. We were without power for 4 days and had to wait until we had power to do anything. Once we got back power it took a few days to start getting everything ready. My wife is only a few weeks postpartum so this was an incredibly stressful time for her. I understand that a lot of people were in the situation that they were dealing with damages as a result of the storm, but this just adds an extra layer of stress. I knew that I had to get a new hot water heater as the unit was not working and was roughly 10 years old. We could have attempted to have it fixed, but given the water damage it likely wouldn't have lasted much longer and was not worth the cost to fix it. I called a dozen plumbers and explained the situation, the estimates were all roughly the same (admittedly TR Miller was only $250 more than the lowest estimate that I received and $150 less than the highest estimate that I received). Kirsten was very helpful and also informed me that the estimate included replacing the fluting and the valves, I am not much of a plumber and it is possible that other companies would have done this too however this was a point that TR Miller made to include in their estimate. I was more amazed that, at the time that I called, I was able to get next day service. Given the immense stress that my wife has been under this was truly a blessing, a woman that is a few weeks postpartum not having a hot shower for a couple of days is torture. I was very excited and decided to go with TR Miller, this was the right choice. When the technician arrived he took the time to listen to any concerns that I had and was able to confirm some issues that were present in the previous work and also identified some additional problems that I was unaware of. The technician, Matt G, was extremely helpful and was able to walk me through everything. Unfortunately, as it often happens, when fixing one problem other problems arise. My ejector pump was also not working. Thankfully Matt G had one on the truck and was able to replace it along with the hot water heater installation. To his credit what should have been a short job, a few hours, turned into an 8 hour day (this is with him arriving roughly around noon). He worked tirelessly and thoroughly and got the job done, looking better than it did before. I had even told him that he doesn't have to worry about the clean-up due to the fact that we still have a lot of damage mitigation and need to do a thorough cleaning of the basement ourselves. Despite this he still cleaned up the work area and made it look better than it was before he arrived. This level of professionalism sold me on the their monthly service plan and I am happy that I made the choice to use TR Miller and I am glad that they sent out Matt G. What should have been such a stressful time for myself and my wife was so much easier and was truly a great experience. I will gladly continue to do business with TR Miller and personally request Matt G for any future appointments.

  Eric B. was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and courteous throughout the entire service call. He quickly identified the issue with my A/C, explained everything clearly, and resolved the problem without any hassle. What really stood out was that he took the time to thoroughly inspect my entire A/C unit to assess for any additional concerns. He also provided helpful maintenance recommendations to help prevent future issues, which I truly appreciated. With how hot this summer has been, thanks to Eric B., I’m literally chillin’! I highly recommend him to anyone in need of HVAC service. Thank you again for your outstanding work!

  We are very pleased with the service received from this company & especially with the tech who serviced our A/C today, Paul B. Our Air Conditioning went out yesterday 7.3.26 Not only was this a Friday, but the holiday week-end with temps in the 90's. Even with fans blowing it was extremely hot. We were grateful that Paul B would come out today 7.4.26. He repaired our a/c and the price was reasonable. I would definitely use TR Miller again. We can now be cool & comfortable vs hot & cranky. Our poor dog is maybe the most grateful. Thank you Paul B. and TR Miller Happy 4th of July to all

  We came home to our water alarm going off. It detects water on the floor near our furnace, and sure enough, there was a small amount of water. At first, we thought it was just condensation from the extreme Illinois heat. (106°) combined with our air conditioner, running nonstop, so we didn’t think much of it. The next morning, however, there was even more water. It wasn’t enough to cause any damage or flooding, but it was enough to know we needed to have someone take a look. TR Miller was recommended to us by Ken, who also works there, and we’re so glad we called. They installed a new ejector pump for us last year, and we had such a great experience that they were our first call again. Eric came out, and we couldn’t have been more impressed. He is a young, knowledgeable, technician who clearly knows his trade. He took the time to explain everything, thoroughly diagnosed the issue, and made the necessary repairs. Within just a few hours, our air conditioner, was already running more efficiently, it had been cooling before, but the condensation had us worried. Now we have peace of mind, knowing everything is working as it should. I highly recommend TR Miller for any home service needs that they handle. They are professional, courteous, honest, and incredibly reliable. They have become the first company recall whenever we have an issue around the house. A special thank you to Eric for his outstanding service and expertise. TR Miller is fortunate to have such an exceptional technician on their team!

  TR Miller did a great job. I called for service on my AC this morning. Jimmy had the problem fixed before 2:00 pm today. Professional & and extremely polite. 07/09/2026 The new system was not consistently controlling temperature. TR Miller (The same day I requested support) sent both Jimmy S, and Kevin (Manager) to investigate. They were able to find an manufacturing defect and install a temporary fix that will work until a brand new compressor can be installed under warranty. They get tens for all the different categories. They even stuck around to make sure that the fix worked properly before they left.
