    Chris from TR Miller Plumbing was beyond exceptional…he left my home about twenty minutes ago and I needed to write a review before continuing on about my day. His knowledge of hot water heaters was no less than what you'd expect an astronaut to know about their spaceship. But what impressed me even more was his ability to explain everything. He didn't just tell me what was wrong—he took the time to understand my hester‘s situation, explain how my current unit fit into my home, what a repair would actually accomplish, and how that compared to replacing it. I walked away actually understanding my options instead of just being handed a bill. Chris also “sold” services in a way that wasn’t a sales pitch but was an honest unpacking of ways this company can help me make investments into my own home. There’s a very nuanced difference- and it was interesting to see someone be so technically/practically knowledgeable but also so skilled in this nuanced customer service/sales aspect. Beyond that, he was just a genuinely good person to have in the house. He was great with my kids, instantly won over my cat (and even shared photos of his own (hey Dempsey)), and made what could have been a stressful service call feel easy. When you invite a stranger into your home, their energy trulymatters. Competence matters of course, but character matters too. Chris could not have been a more shining representation of this company‘s character. If you're on the fence about who to call, stop looking.

    From the moment I called after my AC broke down, to the moment TR Miller finished the full installation of my new HVAC system, TR Miller has been such a pleasure to work with and this company really cares about its customers and employees. The same day that my AC broke, I called this company and Marvin (he’s the best!) came out to look at my AC completely free of charge and he was so upright and honest with me and my family about our options. While he was looking at the AC, he discovered that my water boiler was leaking water and it was also leaking carbon monoxide, which is superduper dangerous. So we went ahead and decided to change and upgrade the whole system. Immediately, the same day we had the most wonderful consultant, Karen (she’s also the best!) Come out and size up the unit that we Needed. She was very honest with us and was very understanding and super professional. She was so knowledgeable about the systems and wasn’t just trying to do a sales pitch at us. She walked us through different pricing and worked with us on receiving the best discounts that we could possibly get. She handled all of the financing and it really minimized the stress that we were all going through at the time. Nobody wants a broken AC during a Chicagoland heat wave so she did her best to make sure that we were going to have our new AC unit within the next 24 to 48 hours. They came out quickly to replace everything and the installers, Tyler and Nick (the GOATs of HVAC), were so awesome and quick and precise. They got the job done perfectly and now I can rest easy knowing that my new HVAC Was installed properly and safely. I really appreciate these guys walking me through every component of the new system and how to maintain it so that I can maximize the amount of years of usage. TR Miller also has a ongoing maintenance plan for a low monthly price that makes sure that the unit is running properly and if there are any issues, they will work with the warranty, which day work out for you, to ensure that the issue is taken care of correctly. When my water heater was being installed, the two gentlemen, I feel so bad that I didn’t get their names (but they’re also the best!), Were so nice and professional. I also liked that they were former military, and that this company is very military friendly. They walked me through the finished job and showed me how to maintain the new tank. Both jobs were done on the same day and we’re coordinated perfectly. Both teams were extremely clean and respectful to my home. I would 1000% recommend this company to anyone who wants a hard-working, superior quality, and honest job Completed for their homes. Going forward, this is the company that I will continue to use. If you are going through a stressful moment with your HVAC, water heater, or anything, electrical, do not hesitate and call these guys!

    I had an outstanding experience with TR Miller Plumbing today, and I can’t say enough good things about Dustin P.! I called around noon, and despite it being one of the hottest days of the year, they had a technician at my home within about five hours. Throughout the day, TR Miller kept me updated via text, letting me know they were still working to get a technician out, and then notified me about 45 minutes before Dustin arrived. That level of communication was truly appreciated. Dustin was prompt, professional, kind, efficient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He removed my old, worn-out faucet, helped me uninstall everything, and even took the time to teach me a few things about plumbing along the way. I really appreciated how upfront he was about pricing and what to expect if the job turned out to be more involved than anticipated. There were no surprises—just honesty and great customer service. On top of that, Dustin was genuinely enjoyable to talk with (including our unexpected conversation about his love of death metal! 🤘😂). It’s not every day you meet a technician who’s not only excellent at his job but also makes the experience enjoyable. Thank you, Dustin, and thank you to everyone at TR Miller for making what could have been a stressful plumbing issue such a positive experience. I truly appreciate all of your help and would absolutely recommend TR Miller Plumbing to anyone looking for honest, reliable, and exceptional service!

    I had a very disappointing experience with TR Miller and would not recommend their service plan. They charge around $240–$250 per year, or roughly $20 per month, but in my experience, the value is not there. They usually come only once a year, and instead of properly checking and resolving issues, the visit feels more like an opportunity to recommend replacements or additional paid work. My home is only about three years old, and my AC was working perfectly fine. However, when their technician came, he suggested that I needed to replace the whole humidifier and even major HVAC-related equipment. The way it was explained made it sound like everything had to be changed and that it should be done only through TR Miller for it to be correct. This was very concerning, especially because the system is relatively new and was functioning properly. As a customer, I expect honest service, proper inspection, and practical recommendations — not unnecessary replacement suggestions. Paying an annual maintenance fee should mean they help maintain and resolve real issues, not simply collect the fee and push expensive upgrades. I am sharing this feedback so other homeowners in our community can be careful before signing up for their service plan or accepting replacement recommendations without getting a second opinion. Based on my experience, I do not feel TR Miller provided fair value or trustworthy guidance.

    The TR Miller crew just installed a new HVAC system in my home. I have used TR Miller in the past for plumbing and have had a fantastic experience. After a poor experience with my previous HVAC company, I decided to give TR Miller a try with inspecting my HVAC System. Marvin came out to do an inspection of my system. My furnace was installed by the previous owner and was oversized (which I knew), but it was also discovered that a crack formed in the heat exchanger, even though the unit was only 8 years old. After some conversation with Marvin, it was determined that replacement was the best and safest option. Britt L. came by the house and discussed all of my options in each different price points and shared what his recommendations were for our house and our lifestyle. Throughout this entire conversation, I never felt pressured to pick the highest option. Ted, Steve, and Maria came by the next day to do the installation. They were a very fun crew that did an extremely nice and professional job. Steve guided me through setting up my new ecobee thermostat, and Ted walked me through the entire system and answered any questions that I had. I HIGHLY recommend TR Miller! You can tell that they hire good people that really care about their work. Everyone from start to finish was a pleasure to work with and I look forward to welcoming them into my home in the future for anything that I may need!
