  We would recommend wizard of wood flooring. We had our upstairs refinished and downstairs put in new flooring and they did a great job on both!

  We are so happy with our floors from Wizard of Wood! They removed all the carpet and ceramic tile from our home and replaced with beautiful real hard wood floors. The crew was so nice, worked very efficiently and finished on time! Thank you Wizard of Wood!

  Wizard of Wood was professional and friendly throughout every step of the process. Mike came out and gave us a complete quote quickly enough that I could tell he had done it many times before. They were accommodating to our need to split the start times for our first and second floor, and gave us a precise start date for each project weeks in advance. They listened to our concerns and were able to get right up to the edges without the need to remove the shoe molding or baseboards. Most of the baseboard on the first floor was antique wood that couldn't be removed or replaced effectively, so it worked perfectly to leave it in place. There was no scuffing or marking along any baseboards or railing posts/ spindles. The attention to detail along the edges really impressed me. They had refinished the floors in my brother's house several years ago, and they have held up very well. That gave us a lot of confidence to go with them, in addition to having the lowest quote and the warranty they offer. We are very pleased with the finished result, and look forward to decades of durable and beautiful red oak hardwood floors. We decided on a natural finish without any stain, and we love the lighter color and how the natural and unique wood grain patterns stand out prominently. We got very fortunate with the weather and were able to leave our windows wide open during the whole project. We are sensitive to fumes, so it was great that the water based finish was also the most durable. I would say that there were light unpleasant fumes the first day (which I'm sure some people could tolerate, but my wife is pregnant and I have a sensitive nose), but we were sleeping in our house within 2 nights after the sealant was applied. The dust is minimal with the containment system that they use, but I still taped plastic over a few areas that we couldn't empty out. I found that running a window exhaust fan upstairs with the upstairs windows closed kept the dust from going into areas downstairs, since the negative pressure pulled air from open windows downstairs. The areas that did get dusty were no worse than going a month or two without dusting or cleaning, and it vacuumed up easily with the brush attachment or with a duster. There were no headaches over confusion or misunderstanding, and the one small mistake that was made was fixed immediately. They were able to finish both projects in 2 days each, only needing the second day to come apply the final coat of sealant. They replaced 3 floorboards that blended so well that several people weren't able to find them, even knowing approximately where they were. The hardest part was moving our mountain of stuff to clear the space, and even if we needed help moving the furniture, they had that option available. They stuck exactly to the quote and everyone was skilled, courteous, and respectful of us and our property. *The pictures show the finished floors. The two pictures of the stairs are a before and after picture. The raw wood with sample stains shows a good example of before and after right next to each other.
