I have been with Knight for almost 20 years now and I haven’t been disappointed. Sure there have been changes but what I don’t think most customers realize is Knight doesn’t make the rules in regard to how much refuse they will take at a time or what you can put in your refuse can. That comes from the landfill operators who are responding to state laws and guidelines. The landfills are trying to ensure that nasty stuff doesn’t get in the landfill and does get disposed of properly. Like tires, motor oil, herbicides and pesticides, electronics, mercury from light bulbs etc. So, when an item gets left next to your can don’t shoot the messenger. Take note that that item has a special place for disposal. Also, as a society we all throw out way too much stuff and that adds up which is why the landfills are being much stricter about how much they receive. If an extra can is put out it will cost more than the monthly rate. In regard to late pickups, in almost all cases that is due to weather related circumstances or scheduling around holidays or something like that. I like that the trucks lift the cans and dump them because that keeps the haulers from getting injured. Sometimes I put a note on my can especially if there is broken glass in the can cautioning them not to reach into the can as they may get hurt. Hauling away trash is a tough job and I appreciate Knight Environmental for the work they do. I hope other customers feel the same way as I do.

They start off as great. Then without notice, raise you monthly bill. And if that wasn’t bad enough, your told you can have some cans out to get picked up, then they charge you $16 a can extra, also without notice. Dissatisfied with this service. I will be canceling my pick up. Only reason for 2 stars is that the guys on the truck are nice and usually arrive the same time every pick up week.
