  Excellent work by Mike and his co worker at a very fair price. They were extremely professional. I would absolutely use Gates Electric again and highly recommend for anyone looking for electrical work.

  Mike Gates of Gates Electrical did a great job of Installing new smoke detectors in my home on very short notice. He came over the same day I called and installed the new up to code ones in short time. I would highly recommend this Electrician and company. Very efficient, and personable and I thank him!

  We needed a DISH antenna cable removed that was close to the ComEd overhead power lines entering the house. Mike & Matt took care of the situation, removing the old cable. They had the proper equipment (and knowledge) I did not have. More importantly, my wife's raspberry bushes did not get trampled. Thanks, Gates Electric!

  I was having a new central AC unit put in when the AC people arrived he advised that the electrical connections to my home were totally off... Mike and his crew came to my rescue and put in all new connections from outside to inside my home... I was prepared to have to do clean up duty after they left but to my great surprise it was all cleaned up ... they left everything nice and clean and now the AC is finally in and everything is working.. Thank you Mike and crew.. I so appreciate all your hard work in getting my electrical lines up to code and working....

  Upgrade 100 amp service to 200 amp, install Generac, changed several recessed light fixtures. Almost $20K of work. Brought 2 high school aged kids that Hammered outside wall so hard they knocked plaster off an interior wall wall. Left gaps around recessed ceiling light fixture, labeled new circuit breaker box so bad you can't read the writing, Did not upgrade wire from house to pole, left hole in roof, charged $250 to change oil (15 minute job) in generator. Very sloppy work. Never got a permit for any of the work.
