  Excellent service with each member on the team working to replace worn out red-brown shingles in a damaged roof area. The consultant Carlos Medina was always readily available with any questions when I needed to be in touch with him, searching for a supply of outdated customized shingles and arranging them to to be shipped to my Illinois home. The office staff Christine and others at Etruscan were all very efficient and promptly relayed any inquiries I had to Carlos. All the workers cleaned up the area thoroughly with great care and attention. Etruscan has a great reputation in the area and they certainly earned it!

  This review is long overdue, but I could not be more pleased with the entire process of installing our new roof with Etruscan Roofing. Todd was my main point of contact from the very beginning — helping us select materials all the way through the day-to-day installation process. His crews were hardworking, careful, and extremely conscientious throughout the project. The father-and-son sheet metal team that handled all of our copper flashing, gutters, downspouts, and dormers were true perfectionists, and their craftsmanship was outstanding. I was very inquisitive and particular about every aspect of the installation, and Todd consistently went the extra mile to ensure I would be completely happy with both the aesthetics and functionality of the final result. In addition, the crews were exceptionally neat and respectful of our home throughout the project. The entire process was absolutely worth it. I would recommend Todd and Etruscan Roofing without hesitation.

  The team at Etruscan did a great job with our roof replacement. Mario and his team communicated clearly from the beginning about what to expect and what we needed when replacing a 20 year old roof. They dropped of sample colors to choose from and the crew was there on time and finished with time to spare on installation day. We even received pictures of the progress they were making throughout the day. It feels good to know our roof will be reliable for a long time. Etruscan is great to work with.

  After getting three estimates for our roof in Gurnee, we chose Etruscan Roofing. The drone photos they included showed problem spots that were not shown in the other estimates. We knew we needed a new roof. We did not know how urgently we did! We also chose them because their quote was good, we like the brand of shingle they install (Owens Corning), and their warranty was the best. We knew right from the start that installation would not start for three weeks, but they suggested putting a tarp on the problem area of the roof. On our way to the Botanic Garden a few days later, we stopped at the shop to sign the contract and give our deposit. By the time we came home that afternoon, the tarp was up and survived several very bad weather days. Three weeks later, as promised, they told us they would arrive the following day. They did. They did a careful job protecting our house, deck and surrounding landscape with tarps. The workers worked hard with just a 30-minute break for lunch. A roof replacement is never quiet, but the workers were. No loud voices, no music. It was all about work. At 5:00 pm, we had to leave. They told us they would finish the project that day. When we came home around 9:00 pm, the roof was done, the house was in perfect condition, and the yard was impeccable. They removed the old roof, replaced five sheets of plywood for necessary repairs and installed a new roof in a single day. Impressive! We would not hesitate to use this company again. Carlos was responsive, helpful, and true to his word, and the team worked hard and efficiently. We are glad we chose Etruscan Roofing.

  Summary: We hired Etruscan for a mix of new installation and repairs on our 100-year-old home. While their garage gutter installation was high-quality, the cleaning and repair side was a major disappointment. It took three visits from three different teams to address basic clogs—one team even installed leaf guards over existing debris rather than cleaning it first. The biggest issue is the lack of management and communication. PM Carlos was unreachable except via email or phone and never showed up to the job site despite my requests. I was asked for payment before the work was actually functional. I even tried to give them more business and was completely ignored. Details: We hired Etruscan to add gutters/downspout on the garage (previous owners did nothing), The house we needed cleaning repair, in particular we had a fascia/gutter that needed more work. Etruscan came three times. The first team came to work on the garage – which went well – and cleaning the gutters and adding leaf guards. 2nd time another team came, they worked on a fascia / soffit repair, which required the stucco company to come out, fix the soffit before Etruscan could continue. By now it became obvious that the 1st time they didn’t repair much, water was still clogged up and rush out on multiple places. I told Etruscan “I am ok to pay for repair and replacement, but please do a good quality job!”. At the end of the 1st visit they left obvious disconnected joints and plugged downspouts untouched. We experienced leaks immediately after they left. I sent the project manager clips of the rain water coming over the gutters and from a downspout joint. At the end of the 2nd visit those issues were left ignored. The 3rd time / 3rd team came on April 23rd (without notification at which time) . Knowing how many things were left to be done I went to the team and spoke with the foreman. They were only here to finish the fascia gutter situation! The entire discussion about the other cleaning and repairs – that should have been addressed from the beginning on – was totally ignored. Every time when a team came out, I heard that, “You have to talk to Carlos”. And I asked Carlos to be present on the jobsite. Nope, he wasn’t here. At the end of the 3rd visit of this job they finally went up to roof again and found debris clogging the downspout. But the 1st team on the first visit nicely covered it up with a leaf guard. They were supposed to clean it too. And on the 3rd attempt the gapping joint of two downspout was glued up in a way it should now work. At least for a while. If I wasn’t present and insisted nothing about cleaning and repair would have been done. Issues: Communication and presence of the project manager to be on site! We had 3 visits from 3 different teams and I only recognized 1 team member for a 2nd time. The team leader appeared only for the estimate and was unreachable except via email or by phone afterward. I explicitly asked for the project manager to be onsite, but he requested final payment after the second visit despite the job being unfinished. On the 2nd visit a team member recommended to replace the gutters around the upper roof to 6 inches. I emailed Carlos and asked for an estimate as we are interested to replace the gutters, no feedback. We have an ac line running down our over 100 years old house. It would help visually to wrap the ac line with a faux downspout liner. The staff on site mentioned to contact the team leader. I did and asked for an estimate so we can do the work while the team is on site. No Feedback. We have an old house. It has great structure and is in good shape. The previous owners did no maintenance, nothing. I am aware that material ages and needs to be replaced. We are sorely aware of that and hired Etruscan to do the maintenance, repair and replacement needed. I am open to replace gutters and downspouts, that means business. The key problem here is not the workmanship by the team members, it is the team leaders lack of management, communication and quality standards. I am not impressed.
