  After a recent storm caused damage to my home, I contacted Hiester Construction, Inc., and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. From the very first phone call, everyone was professional, friendly, and genuinely cared about helping me get everything taken care of as quickly as possible. They came out promptly, thoroughly inspected the storm damage, explained exactly what needed to be repaired, and answered every question I had without trying to pressure me into anything. They even helped guide me through the insurance process, which made an already stressful situation so much easier. One thing that really stood out to me was their pricing. It was fair, honest, and right on point. I received excellent value for the quality of work, and there were no surprises or hidden costs. It gave me confidence that I was working with a company that truly cares about its customers and isn't looking to overcharge. The crew was hardworking, respectful of my property, and completed the work with outstanding craftsmanship. My roof looks amazing, and you can tell they take pride in the quality of their work. They also cleaned up everything when the job was finished, leaving my property looking better than when they arrived. It's hard to find a company that's honest, dependable, and truly stands behind their work, but Hiester Construction exceeded my expectations from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing roofing, storm damage repairs, or other exterior home improvements.   Our family had a very disappointing experience with Hiester Construction. My father was 91 years old and had been diagnosed with dementia. Before this roofing project, his physician had determined that he lacked the capacity to make financial decisions, and an activated Power of Attorney was in place. My sister personally spoke with Mr. Hiester and informed him that our father was not capable of making these types of financial decisions and that the family should be involved. Despite that conversation, the project moved forward. Mr. Hiester was also aware that my father's health was declining and that he likely would not remain in the home for more than a couple of years. Rather than discussing a more economical repair or patch that may have met his needs, he sold him a much more extensive roofing project. The work performed was an overlay installed over the existing roof rather than a complete tear-off and replacement. Based on the work that was actually performed, we believe the amount charged was excessive. Within just a few months, my father had multiple hospitalizations and moved into assisted living, where those funds could have been used to help pay for his care. Our family has made repeated attempts to resolve this matter through phone calls and a certified letter, but Hiester Construction has not responded. We are now pursuing complaints with the appropriate Illinois licensing boards, consumer protection agencies, and elder protection authorities while seeking appropriate compensation. If you are considering this company, I strongly encourage you to obtain multiple bids, ask detailed questions about exactly what work will be performed, and make sure elderly family members with cognitive impairments have their legal representatives involved before signing any contract.

  Overall, I was very pleased with the work performed. The estimator (Ryan) showed up when scheduled and couldn't have been easier to work with. I asked for shingle samples and received all available options to decide from. The roofing crew showed up on time and did an awesome job. After everything was completed, I had a few minor things I wanted corrected. Everything was corrected without question or extra charge. I would recommend Hiester Construction to anyone. They did a fantastic job!

  We had Hiester construction replace our roof 7 years ago. We have had to call them out on several occasions for leaks in the roof. Once again in the same area we have a major leak and when we called to have it repaired under warranty they said it's another issue. This leak was not there until they replaced the roof. Now they are telling us that it will take several thousands of dollars more to remedy the problem. It was never mentioned initially that this might be a problem area. We had spent a lot of money 7 years ago and we feel like this should not be happening this early on in the roofs life. It hasn't even reached a mid life point as of yet.

  Great service and very friendly and considerate employees and did a great job cleaning up after with no roof nails or roof material found after they left which was wonderful.
