  We bought our first home through the local rehab program last year. We recently had someone come and look at a problem with our upstairs being terribly hot. Despite our system having a tica sticker on it we called some others to get some ideas on what was wrong. Not only was the ductwork not done right to properly cool my upstairs bedrooms. We found another major problem. What I was told was there is a board that prevents the new freon from catching fire in the event of a leak. It was not even hooked up. What is scary is the contractor that pointed it out told me it was not the first time finding this. Being a job through the rehab program I would have expected a properly done job. Unfortunately the cost to fix this is really expensive. I'm stuck with window units for now.

  This company is exemplary! My situation was somewhat unique, and of the 5 companies I called for quotes these guy's got it done for nearly HALF what the rest quoted. They were willing to work around my work schedule, and the follow-up communication to ensure that I was 100% satisfied was top-notch. More importantly, they did not try to upsell me at all, something that is increasingly hard to find these days. If you're looking for an install or even maintenance LOOK NO FURTHER. I am 100% satisfied.

  So about three weeks ago my AC stopped cooling. It is 8 years old and was installed by Tica so its still under warranty (parts). It was a Thursday night so I had to call the after hours number. The tech called back, said it sounds like the capacitor, he said I would have to pay the overtime labor but that the part was covered. But he had 2 more jobs ahead of me and doubted he would be out that night. I called the office the next morning and again explained my situation and was told that no one could get to me that day and that the overtime list for that night was full. It would probably be next week. I explained that I was supposed to leave town and its a warranty issue and you installed it. Same response. Since I was trying to get out of town and needed this fixed, I called another company knowing that I would have to pay labor and parts. Tica called back and said they checked and saw that I was in fact on the overtime list for later that night. The other company got to me that morning and 20 minutes later it was fixed. So I called Tica back and cancelled. And I am aware that parts can go out at anytime but they had just been out to do a spring checkup on the condenser a couple of months prior and said everything looked good. I guess I just expected a little better response to my issue from the place it I bought it from, the Trane dealer and that it took 20 minutes for the other company to fix it.
