  I'm from Watseka, and when I came of age, I lived in Gilman. I moved to Iowa to pursue my educational interests in 2023. I tried moving back to Iroquois County in Jan 2025, and again in Early 2026. I even drove 8 hours from Laurens IA back to my hometown of Watseka, and stayed almost a week in a hotel, and literally drove around every town of the whole county for 8 hours a day, for 5 days, looking for rental signs, because no one wants to list them online or FB Marketplace, etc. One of the landlords that had an opening was the owner of the Patten Earthmoving LLC Aaron Patten, where he had available units in Milford IL. He sent the application, I showed 2 sources of income, more than 3x rent, and submitted the application. Everything went smoothly until I disclosed I had a legitimate service animal. He then began ignoring my calls, multiple over a 3-day period, and ignoring my emails, and voicemails. After I had already drove 8 hours back to Iowa, he then sends a text message and lied and said he'd been sick, conveniently, over the whole 3 days I had been trying to reach him for move-in and making deposit. He knew of my situation, and deliberately refused to rent to me because I had a service animal. I've now been stuck in Iowa for 2 years longer than expected.

  Riding down the road towards Bismarck from Danville at about 4:15 today I found myself behind a truck carrying a load of gravel. Even though the truck was moving slower than the rest of traffic I wasn't annoyed....but what did annoy me was seeing a large Polar Pop cup being launched out of the passenger window. Knowing it was a business I made sure to see the, "Patten Earthmoving," logo as they turned on the road a quarter mile south of Bismarck. Awesome job guys.

  Professional and honest work. I had concrete and grading work done at my house, exceeded my expectations. Would definitely recommend.
