While I believe that the crew probably did an excellent job at the actual repair, they did a totally crappy job of cleaning up their mess. There was a lot of sand splattered on the dryer (I’m guessing they assumed the plastic they threw over it kept it clean and didn’t even look at it when they were done) and rocks, sand and grit in a huge area around the repair area They also opened a basement window and did not close and lock it. That’s a serious safety issue that we’re very unhappy about. When you pay top dollar to a service provider, they should do an A+ job on the clean up as well as on the repair. .

We loved our experiences working with Ian, Jacob, and Brian. Ian was here with a team for a week putting in new drain vents and improving our water pressure significantly. I overheard Ian talking someone on his team through a procedure and was impressed by how kind, calm, and professional he was in his mentorship. Ian always informs us about what he's doing, any changes that come up, and is just a pleasure to have around.
Goode technicians are always personable and clean up after themselves.
I've been frustrated on several occasions by scheduling snafus on the part of the office - where someone will be scheduled to come to us and when we call to find out where they are, they've been scheduled on another job.
And the AI answering service is the pits.
But they do wonderful work once they're in your house!

We called Goode Plumbing and specifically requested Ashton Hartmann for the great service he provided in the past. He quickly diagnosed the issue we were having (no cold water from two faucets), wrote up estimates that were very fair for the work that needed to be done, and got the parts and made the necessary repairs in a timely manner. He was patient as he helped adjust the water temperatures being extra thoughtful about the tub that my young child uses to ensure the water wouldn’t get too hot. I highly recommend using Goode Plumbing and specifically asking for Ashton to complete any plumbing work!
We have used Goode for several projects and usually had a good experience. A recent project, though, left a bit of a bad taste.
I'd contacted them to replace a cold water shut off valve for my kitchen sink, because I wasn't confident doing it myself. We also wanted to replace the cartridge in the kitchen sink.
The plumber, Brian, replaced both the hot and cold water shut off valves, for a cost of about $600. He said that they didn't have a cartridge and to get it would cost about $1000 separately, or we could buy a new faucet entirely for $1700.
Unfortunately, after installing the new shutoff valves, the hot water one began leaking. We didn't find this out until the next morning, after we'd run the dishwasher overnight and it leaked all over our floors!
I contacted them, and they were quite responsive, and sent Brian back out the next day. By that point, I had already fixed it myself -- tightening the loose connections and confirming it didn't leak.
Brian came by and was very defensive about it. He said he tested it before he left and that he's never had a valve leak. That's all well and good, but fact is, it DID leak and we are still drying out our kitchen two weeks later.
I don't know what I was really expecting in the situation, but I would have appreciated a different attitude than "well, it's never done that before". I understand that accidents happen, but owning up to the problem is part of customer service, rather than implying that it must have been something I did that caused the leak.
I'll probably go to Goode again because they seem honest and do good work. But I would hope they work on their attitude in situations where things go wrong.
I would give this company zero stars if I could.
I called yesterday with a plumbing emergency and spoke with their AI assistant, which scheduled me for today starting at noon. I was specifically told someone would call me in the morning to confirm.
This morning, someone did call—but instead of confirming the appointment, she said they couldn’t find my name or address, claimed there was never an appointment, and told me they couldn’t come out today at all.
When I explained exactly what their AI assistant had told me, she became argumentative and insisted that the AI “wouldn’t have done that” because they didn’t have any availability. Apparently, instead of accepting responsibility for their own system, they would rather accuse the customer of being wrong.
Whether the mistake was made by their AI or by their scheduling system is their responsibility, not mine. If your company uses AI to book appointments, you need to stand behind what it tells customers. Having an emergency service that schedules appointments it has no intention of honoring is unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the employee who called was incredibly rude, dismissive, and offered no apology, no solution, and no attempt to make things right.
If you have a plumbing emergency, don’t count on this company. They wasted my time, left me scrambling to find another plumber, and treated me like I was the problem. Terrible customer service from start to finish.
