Hired them for a full remodel on our master bathroom and a little remodel on our 2nd bathroom. In the master bath they put plastic up for the glass to the shower said glass would come in 2 weeks 🤦🏾♀️ its been longer than 2 weeks!! Now its leaking. Didn't put the door frame back up and they put a hole in our closet, have to use a extention cord for the washer and can not use any electrical sockets in bathroom 🤦🏾♀️ they put a cover over a electrical socket that has power to it. Over priced because the work is not complete for the payment that they received so far!
Bathroom 2 they changed the mirror out which they put a big hole in the wall and wants us to pay them to fix it. They didn't put in the right color of vanity we wanted. They bought the vent but its still sitting in the box.
Left the old toilet and vanity for us to haul off.
There was always a emergency. They don't return calls or messages.
Waiting for our court date to see what the judge is going to do because our trust fund paid for this and we no longer have the trust at that bank. We need all of the paperwork from the bank to see if this company was paid in full before job was completed 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
We want to move forward with taking this company to court!!!!

Tim came to my house for a consultation. He gave me so many options in many different price ranges. He was very knowledgeable and gave me great advice.

I held off on writing this for a long time because I wanted to give them a chance. We hired second street several times for projects on our home (in fact, several of the photos on the website are my home) and when we needed to redo a screen porch and deck chose this company over another well known and respectable company with a lower bid. I have regretted it ever since. I was quoted, and paid for a 1 week job that has yet to be completed in nearly 5 months.
Professionalism is lacking. The crew that came left garbage, clothing and cigarettes buds in our yard. The police contacted me regarding the crew’s suspicious behavior on our property, and I came home one day to a child in a car outside my house in August.
Skill is lacking- the work was terrible. After three times of “fixing” it, the new crew ripped out the entire deck because it was so bad it would not be salvaged. I was told, by Second Street they subcontracted the work and the wrong materials were used.
I will say, Second Street did take ownership of the poor craftsmanship and came up with a plan to remediate this on September 12. It is December and this has not been completed.
Communication is poor. While Josh and Tim are both incredibly kind, Josh has stopped answering my texts or returning my calls. Josh set up a time for us to meet with the owner Clayton via telephone, did not keep this appointment and has ignored all communication attempts since then.
Honestly is lacking. Each person gives a different story as to who is in charge, who I should contact, and often we are given excuses (out of town, ill, etc) when another crew member divulges they were actually working on another job. All I’m asking is the complete the job they were hired to do. The company has over spent and can’t afford to finish the work they started, even though I paid them in August. The misuse of resources in concerning and we have been punished for their poor business practices.
I wanted to end this with that despite the errors the company acted with integrity and made good on their commitments, but that hasn’t happened. I would caution anyone against hiring Second Street.
I would strongly recommend Stan, one of their employees who has worked on the re do and if possible, would suggest hiring him independent of Second Street. He is very talented.
I was looking to do a major remodel of my bathroom. I reached out to a number of local contractors for this job, and Second Street Renovations was among several companies that got back to me, expressing interest in this job. Second Street Renovations is among the smaller and less established contractors in the area, having been in business only since December 2023 according to their BBB listing, but they were the company I felt most comfortable with, so I decided to go with them.
Shortly after initially contacting them through HomeAdvisor, Tim of Second Street Renovations reached out to me by phone, a few days later he came over to take a look in preparation for a estimate, and shortly after that he sent me a formal estimate. The pricing seemed fair and my interaction with Tim throughout this process could not have been better. Tim is easy to get hold of by phone, text, or email, he is very responsive and has been prompt in answering my questions. Among all the companies that I had been considering for this job, Second Street Renovations was the easiest to communicate with and the one that I felt most comfortable with, so I decided to hire them.
I am glad I did. They were able to fit in the job the following week, they completed it in a timely manner, and the renovated bathroom looks absolutely stunning. The entire crew was professional and courteous, they worked efficiently and left no mess at the end of the day. Josh, the foreman, was easy to work and communicate with, and he clearly seemed to know his stuff, as did Justin, the plumber.
Working with Second Street Renovations has been, far and away, the best experience with a contractor I have ever had, and I would not hesitate to consider them again for other renovation project.
Josh and Austin did a great job installing 2 new toilets, building a beam in the peak of my LR ceiling, and installing the remote controlled fan.
Thank you Josh, Austin, and Tim at 2nd Street Renovations.
