  Aside that the price was unexpected and more than I was looking to pay the technician was very pleasant. He was very kind, offered a small discount and cleaned up afterwards. It was an unfortunate circumstance that God provided me the means to be able to fix even if it was unexpected.

  Highly recommend Roto-Rooter! They replaced my water heater quickly and professionally. Their pricing was completely transparent with no hidden fees ($2,700 out-the-door), and they backed up their work with an excellent 10-year tank and 1-year labor warranty. Great communication and top-notch service from start to finish!

  I would not recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone. I called them to diagnose a sewer problem and was told they would scope the line and provide an estimate. Instead, the technician arrived without a camera and recommended $500 in hydrojetting. I then had to wait two additional business days for another technician to come out and scope the line, only to confirm that the hydrojetting had been unsuccessful. Their solution? Excavate and replace a small section of pipe for $8,600. I got a second opinion from a reputable local plumber. They arrived with a camera, used different hydrojet attachments, completely cleared the blockage, and charged less than what I paid Roto-Rooter. Buyer beware. Multiple plumbers have since told me that Roto-Rooter technicians are commission-based. Whether that's true or not, my experience certainly felt like I was being pushed toward the most expensive solution rather than the most effective one.

  We called Roto Rooter and as a result of finding tree root blockage and damage in our front yard...... they were forced to dig up approx 30' of the yard and found multiple sewer tiles broken and water not flowing into sewer....it was a difficult project and weather was a big factor as there was 3' of water in the hole at one point....removing the water and mud in the hole in order to install new piping was a long, tedious process....the city of Normal was called out to dig up the curb shut-off as it was bent and not usable........on 6/16/26 the team of Joel, Devin and Johnny arrived and worked hard and tirelessly to complete the job and get us back to being able to use our plumbing and water......they also installed a new water line and jetted the service, both in and out to ensure that our system was working perfectly.......the hard work, the customer service and the knowledge that Joel, Devin and Johnny exhibited was absolutely brilliant and their professionalism cannot be overstated......these guys are the absolute best and I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!!
