I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Renew HVAC was so unprofessional that I feel others deserve to know what happened.
I had an appointment scheduled for June 29 to have a new HVAC system installed. Before the appointment, I repeatedly asked about financing because I had just purchased my home three weeks earlier and knew my credit had taken a temporary hit. Instead of getting answers, my questions were repeatedly met with nothing more than a 👍🏻.
Despite the financing never being approved, Renew HVAC still sent a technician to my home. The technician worked for nearly five hours before I had to tell him to stop, pack everything up, and undo the work that had already been started because the financing ultimately did not go through.
This entire situation should have been handled before anyone ever stepped foot inside my home. Financing should have been verified before a major installation began. Instead, an entire day of work was wasted for both me and the technician.
When I spoke with the owner about what happened, she was extremely unprofessional. Rather than listening to my concerns, she repeatedly interrupted me, talked over me, and mocked my credit after I explained that I had just purchased my home. While my credit isn’t her responsibility, verifying financing before sending a crew to begin work absolutely is.
Later that evening, Serge came to my home and offered what seemed like a reasonable solution. He proposed installing a scratch-and-dent unit if I paid $1,000 up front and then $200 per month for the next two years. I agreed because I needed air conditioning and believed we had reached an agreement.
Unfortunately, after that, communication completely stopped. The project was abandoned. They left an evaporator coil and copper piping sitting in my home and never returned to complete the installation. I made numerous attempts to contact the company for updates and was repeatedly left on read with no response.
After waiting and receiving no communication, I notified them in writing that they had 24 hours to provide written notice of what equipment they intended to remove and to actually remove it. Otherwise, I would consider the job abandoned and move forward with another HVAC company.
Looking back, I understand why there are so many reviews mentioning the owner’s attitude. Rather than taking accountability and working toward a solution, my experience was one of poor communication, disrespect, and a complete lack of professionalism.
I turned away three other HVAC companies because I trusted Renew HVAC. Instead, I lost valuable time during a heat wave, had unnecessary work started and then reversed, was left with abandoned equipment in my home, and ultimately had to start the entire process over with another company.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Renew HVAC.
Edit: The owner is now attempting to bill me for equipment and materials they abandoned at my home over a week ago. They were given multiple opportunities to come retrieve their belongings, but instead chose to leave my messages on read.
After the owner’s unprofessional behavior, including personal insults and comments about my credit, I made it clear that all future communication needed to be in writing. It’s unfortunate that someone who runs a business would choose personal attacks over professionalism, especially considering I had no difficulty obtaining financing through another company.
If they decide to pursue this, I’ll gladly see them in court and provide the complete text message history documenting exactly what occurred. This experience is a perfect example of why written communication matters. It creates a clear record of the facts when memories—or stories—seem to change or companies try to scam you. I’ve gone over their negative reviews and it seems I’m not the only one Liza has treated this way.

The best experience I've had with an HVAC technician/maintenance company. They repaired my air conditioner in one day during a heat wave and are the most reasonable I've encountered. I called them with a number of close friends and family recommendations and am so glad I did. Definitely our HVAC go to company now.

Called around 8 PM to see if they could replace the capacitor on my AC unit. I sent them photos of both the capacitor and the unit so they could identify the correct part. Thankfully, one of their technicians was just finishing a job, and they arranged for me to meet them at their warehouse to purchase a capacitor they had in stock.
They told me that if I was comfortable installing it myself, they would only charge me for the part. Thanks to their help, my AC is up and running, and I don't have to worry about my wife being upset when the temperature hits 100 degrees tomorrow!
Great customer service, especially for such a late call.

I recently had a full HVAC system installed by RENEW HVAC and I couldn't be more impressed. I called on a Friday, and by Tuesday my new system was fully up and running — that kind of turnaround is almost unheard of in this industry.
From the first phone call to the final walkthrough, the team was professional, courteous, and clearly knew their stuff. They took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I felt confident about the work being done.
The value was outstanding — quality equipment, expert installation, and top-notch customer service all at a fair price. It's rare to find a company that delivers on every front, but Renew HVAC absolutely did.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, efficient, and professional HVAC company. They've earned a customer for life!
