  Austin did a full A/C tune-up inspection as part of a $29 promotion. He was very friendly and experienced. The company pushes for their member plans ($20 or $30/month) which I don’t love the idea of subscriptions, but he seemed very genuine in his belief that their maintenance is quality and worth the price, especially considering the issues he found. He took lots of pictures and explained all the readings taken so I could be well-informed. The most enticing thing is that the membership includes 20% off repairs and lifetime warranty on all repairs without restriction (as long as you’re still a member). Leaving this review so Austin gets his cash bonus!

  Ryan A. came to our office to clear a drain. Excellent communication from the office on scheduling and Ryan was an absolute pleasure to work with. Professional, knowledgeable and just honestly, a really nice guy. Fixed the issue in about 15 minutes and it was as only $39. Highly recommend this company.

  First the good: The tech was a good communicator and neat and clean. He was respectful of my home. The not so great: Without my permission, he removed my furnace blower and tried to make the case that a small amount of dust on it required an add on cleaning service. I am a savvy consumer and know that this is one of the best money maker services since all that is needed is hosing it off. He then called me out to show me the air conditioner condenser and claimed it was leaking oil. I asked him to show me. He pointed to the bolt below the condenser stating it had dust on it and that the oil was causing the dust to stick to it. I looked at the bolt, touched the bolt and told him I saw zero oil, felt nothing sticky and that all I saw was a little dust and pollen. There was no oil present. He wanted me to allow him to see if he could determine if my warranty would cover it since my system is less than 10 years old. I told him no. I am a retired real estate broker and have dealt with hundreds of home inspections. I know the tactics used to add on services, especially since I was taking advantage of a $29 tune up special. Bottom line: I will not use this company in the future.

  Austin Miller did a great job working with me with getting the cost to an acceptable rate that we can afford. Gave suggestions that makes so much sense that can be considered in the future.

  I am writing this review to help others make good decisions based upon information. If I could negative rate this, I would. Today I received a mailer from Wickstrom Plumbing that motivated me to tell the truth about what really goes on. All the advertising money that they spend on KBOI and the mailers are a result of deceptive and dishonest practices and I will prove that. I have given Wickstrom several chances to reach out to me regarding my concern but it never happened. So now, it is unfortunate, I must tell my story. It was a Friday morning and my sewer had backed up and flooded my basement. I was aware of Wickstrom because they did business with me years ago as a sales rep for NAPA Auto parts. I called to see if someone could come out a clear my drain. The customer service was awesome as they put me on a priority list. To my surprise, they were able to dispatch someone within the next couple hours. They called and showed up when they said they would. So, buyer beware. The customer service was so good, you think they are great. This is part of their deceptive scam. A tech shows up and all of a sudden their guaranteed $59 clean out is $850. They could only go 40' out and ran into a problem. Next a guy with a camera comes out and shows me a crappy image on his monitor and tells me I have a broken pipe. At that point I have to sign an agreement that they can't guarantee the clean out. So they tell me that they will need to dig down 8' to get to the pipe to find out what is going on and they would send me an estimate. That night, after running a load of dishes. The basement flooded again. I cleaned it all up and called Wickstrom in the morning. I was told that a team member would reach out to me. That NEVER happened. So there I am, 2 adults and 4 kids and no way to clean, bathe or use the toilet. As a father, I had to take this on myself. I went to Home Depot and rented a 100' snake. Remember, they could only go 40' feet with their "professional equipment". I EASILY got my rental snake past the 40' issue and went the full 100'. I put the plug back in the floor (which they just left sitting there) and it's been 3 weeks and everything is operating as designed. I paid good money for them to do what I did for $64. They are highly trained in the practice of deception and taking advantage of those of us that allow it. Ty Wickstrom, your smooth words and promises are nonsense. I have given you multiple opportunities to reach out to me. But you did not. You guys are the worst of the worst as you take advantage of people that are stressed out due to flooding and such. You guys presented me with a bid for $25k to fix something that is not even a problem. What came back on the snake was a giant hairball. You guys are a joke and your dad Scott should be ashamed at what you have become. So buyer beware. They take advantage of you because you don't know any better. They keep the techs trained up in deceptive practices and spend a ton of money on advertising making promises that they will never fulfill. I will spend the rest of my years letting people know what really takes place at Wickstrom Plumbing.
