  We've been Strands customers for a very long time. You might pay less for something but you don't get the personal service you get here. You get all the advice you need, decorating help and no high pressure to get more than you want or can afford. You also get help with the personal things. I just broke my ankle and doorway thresholds were problem. Terry came out and reworked the doorways I couldn't "wheel" over. You WON'T get that from a big box store!

  Such a great experience! They were incredibly helpful when it came to choosing flooring and walked us through every step of the install. We felt confident in our choices and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

  This is local service with tons of experience! Do NOT shop the big box stores without visiting Strand's. You'll be amazed at their selection, the prices are more than competitive.... They are better! I also have to mention that they go above and beyond to help. When I visited looking for a carpet remnant after our town suffered destruction from a devastating tornado, I mentioned what I was doing and how little I had to spend after being closed for six weeks fixing damage. Strand's stepped up (I was not asking for charity or pleading for any kind of help) and offered a remnant to me for a major sale discount. I bought it on the spot. Got it installed and it is stunning in the store. Bottom line, these folks don't see you as just a person through the door that they can pump for a sale. This is personal, small town service in a big town and a huge, complete carpet, flooring, and paint store.
