I would suggest that you stay away from this company, they took advantage of my wife in a Dyer situation and suggest the most expensive measures! If money is no problem then go for it, they don't care !!! Water pump was $ 4000.00 plus insulation 4700.00 dollars. Robbery! These people do not care, stay away!!!! Seriously stay away, they just want your money! Service is second to none! I would suggest going with a local plumber that has worked his reputation! It's are bad to do what we did! They may hide some of there reviews so be careful! Do not listen to this person, he is only trying to degrade the customer who is important to his business, sorry this company does not care!!!! I'm going to keep posting to hopefully save somebody some money.

No complaints about the work done or the product installed, but charging a flat fee of over AT LEAST $3,000 for replacing a sump pump is crazy work. They offered me two options for replacement, the cheapest was over 3k and the premium was just over 4k. Since my property gets a lot of water runoff from other yards I chose the better quality one for peace of mind. But their "global" flat-fee per service charge is outrageous and NOT EVEN CLOSE TO AFFORDABLE in this economy for a single parent. I will not be doing business with them again, and unless you're part of the upper class, just forget about doing business with them too.

I called them because I was helping a friend take care of her house and I found a big leak right before her water meters in her basement. They said they would be there in about 30 minutes. About 90 min later a young guy showed up. He saw the leak and after a phone conversation with his boss he said he could try to use a wrench to tighten the leaking connection. He said trying that would cost an additional $140. He said if he had to rebuild the meter it would be $360 dollars. It didn't seem like he knew what he was doing and was charging to much so I asked him to leave. He collected the $94 dollar fee for visiting and left. I called the West Branch water people and a very nice guy showed up about 15 min later. He clearly knew what he was doing. He unscrewed the connection and saw a degraded rubber o-ring. He went and got several and replaced them on both sides of the meter and the problem was solved. He wouldn't take any money for the repair. He saved the day!

⭐ 0 STARS IF I COULD — I FELT SCAMMED AND COMPLETELY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BENJAMIN FRANKLIN PLUMBING. This was one of the most frustrating plumbing experiences I have ever had. I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing because my shower had no hot water. They sent Randy C., and I ended up paying around $700. But the ACTUAL CARTRIDGE that needed to be replaced was NOT replaced. Instead, the mixer/trim part was changed, and I later found a similar part at Menards for around $20. And after paying around $700, guess what? MY ORIGINAL PROBLEM WAS STILL NOT FIXED. I still had no hot water, and the spout problem was left unresolved. Then I was told that the valve needed to be replaced and that they would have to drill/open part of my house, with another estimate of around $1,000. At the same time, I was being marketed filters and membership services. WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO SELL ME MORE PRODUCTS AND MEMBERSHIPS WHEN YOU HAVEN’T EVEN FIXED THE PROBLEM I CALLED YOU FOR? I did what every customer should do: I GOT A SECOND OPINION. Another plumbing company came out on a SATURDAY, replaced the ACTUAL CARTRIDGE, charged me around $200, and FIXED THE PROBLEM. They did NOT need to replace the valve. They did NOT need to open up my house. So after being told I could need approximately another $1,000 in work, another plumber fixed the actual problem for around $200. That is why I feel completely taken advantage of. I called Benjamin Franklin afterward and asked for a refund. Instead of taking responsibility and resolving my complaint, I was told I would NOT receive a refund. And please, DON’T THINK CUSTOMERS ARE STUPID. This is 2026. We live in a world of AI and technology. Customers can research parts in seconds, compare prices, understand how repairs work, get second opinions, take pictures, save estimates, and document invoices. Just because someone is not a plumber does NOT mean they are clueless or that they cannot figure out when something doesn’t add up. I have no problem paying $600, $700, $1,000, or more when the work is ACTUALLY NECESSARY and the problem is ACTUALLY FIXED. This is not about being cheap. This is about paying hundreds of dollars, still having the same problem, and then being told I might need another approximately $1,000 of work—only for another plumber to fix it for around $200 by replacing the correct cartridge. Based on MY EXPERIENCE, I felt scammed, I felt taken advantage of, and I would NEVER use Benjamin Franklin Plumbing again. CUSTOMERS: GET A SECOND OPINION BEFORE AGREEING TO AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR. I am formally disputing this charge. DO NOT withdraw or process any additional money from my bank account while this dispute is unresolved. I paid for a plumbing problem to be properly diagnosed and fixed, but the original problem was not fixed. I then obtained a second opinion, and another plumber replaced the actual cartridge and fixed the problem for around $200 without replacing the valve or opening up my house. I am requesting that you resolve this matter and refund the disputed amount. If you attempt to process a payment that I have disputed, I will document everything and pursue the appropriate options available to me through my bank and applicable consumer complaint channels. Do not assume customers are stupid. This is 2026. We have AI, technology, access to information, second opinions, estimates, invoices, photos, and records. Customers can verify what they are being told. I expect this matter to be handled professionally and fairly.

Was quoted $88 fee. Guy showed up early, was polite & professional. My old water heater was beyond repair, he did no work other than feeling moisture at the bottom of my tank. Then immediately goes into a hard sales pitch with estimates ranging from 4k -10k for installation and labor depending on standard or tank less variations. Then they immediately go into the hard sell for financing through some credit application. The numbers were just sky high. At that point, nothing further was done and I ended up paying almost triple the $88 service call fee, for what I don't know. I found a new heater for about $1000 (my house needed a power vent model-more expensive than standard) & my brother in law and I had the old one out and new one installed in about an hour and a half. Now I see why the repair man showed up early! The previous customer probably had the exact same experience and no work was done once they got the same shady used car lot over priced finance game! Do not use these guys unless money is no object for you! Their business model stinks to high hell and would not recommend Benjamin Franklin to anyone. I wish they had never come up in my Google search for water heater repair. Very unsatisfactory experience to put it mildly.
