  I left a generous 4 star review. I would never recommend Island Comfort. They charge a $99 diagnostic and the AC worked for the next rental guest after they said it didn't work. They said they would call during the diagnostic visit but never did. A salesperson then quoted me $18,000 for a new AC for a 400 square foot condo. I ended up getting a new AC for just over $5,000 elsewhere. But the worst part is that they leave you a voicemail saying you have a PAST DUE with them , yet they never sent an invoice. And there is no email to reach them. There is also no phone number on their invoice. When I finally got an invoice, there is no email address on it (only a do not reply) and they billed my personal name and not the company. I told them it was for a business. Four stars is not a reflection of my experience, it really is a one star. They need to learn to operate business to business. I need a proper invoice to the business, as I am not personally responsible. You give us an invoice and we pay it. Give us a proper invoice. This is business. They want to get paid but won't follow very normal business protocol. I don't get it.

  I Had my central AC system installed on 10/15/25, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. I reached out to island comfort on 10/12. Supervisor Donoven came to evaluate my old system on 10/13. He is very knowledgeable. He helped me to decide on the system which will be the best one to meet my needs. He took time to explain the system and answered my questions. Donoven and his crew (Matthew, Fearen, and Josh) arrived on time on 10/15. Three technicians are very good. They work efficiently and showed great attention to detail throughout the whole job. They helped to clean up the mess which was left behind by the prior technician I hired who failed the job completely. They are very polite and professional. They also cleaned up completely after finishing--the space is spotless. They make sure the new system is running perfectly before they left my house. Supervisor Donoven called me in the evening to make sure the new system is good. I am very touched. The entire process was smooth from start to finish. I highly recommend this company and their technicians for anyone looking for quality HVAC work done right the first time!

  I am disappointed that I had to pay for a diagnostic that I gave to them of what the problem was that caused us to have to replace the entire air conditioning system. That is only five years old and it’s because of corrosion. So my question is all of the servicing that I’ve been doing along the way why wasn’t the corrosion identified earlier so that I could take remedial action before it got so bad that the whole system had to be replaced? I believe that this is a Failure on their part to identify a problem in servicing.

  Island Comfort is a company that brings it ALL to you — an excellent product, super customer service, timely installation, and competitive prices! Mark, the owner, runs a tight ship, with courteous and knowledgeable technicians and a “project manager” who oversees, checks and rechecks every phase of installation. We went with Lennox A/C units as we were familiar with that brand ... and just in time for an early summer here on Kauai! We had 4 units installed, with 3 on one condenser and one larger unit on a separate one. These units are so quiet, we do not notice they’re even on! And no noise from the outside either (for which I’m sure our neighbors are thankful). They are all Individually controlled with an easy-to-use remote, and we love that they also dehumidify the air we breathe! We highly recommend this company to anyone who insists on integrity, courteous and prompt service, and who are detail oriented in their installation. A neat and clean operation from top to bottom.
