  While walking around the house I noticed that there could have been some wind damage to my asphalt shingle roof that MRC Roofing installed a few years ago. With the heavy storms and strong winds that we recently had I wanted it checked out just to be safe. So, I called MRC and Jon came out to inspect for damages. He took pictures of every roof face. He then airdropped me all the pictures of my perfectly fine roof onto my phone. I was relieved to know that their work done years ago was perfectly intact. Finding a solid and reputable company that stands behind their workmanship even years later is hard to come by these days. And even though Jon has been ridiculously busy after these recent storms I was extremely impressed by his response time in getting my roof inspected for possible damages. This just goes to show you that MRC makes time for their customers during their busiest of schedules. Jon even went above and beyond and checked my solar attic fan that that was also installed by them to ensure it was working properly. That simple attic fan has probably saved me money by cooling down the interior of the house. I highly recommend MRC roofing because they stand by their workmanship, their customer service goes above and beyond, and they are there when you need them the most. Mahalo Jon and MRC Roofing.

  A few years ago, MRC installed a beautiful solar reflective Malarkey asphalt shingle on my grandparents' home that received wind damage. Jon at MRC was able to provide full information with free quote, pictures, notes and drawing of the wind damage for me to give to my insurance company. My insurance company paid for an entire new roof based off that information. The roof had some previous leaks that handy men weren’t able to solve before I called MRC Roofing. MRC’s policy is that if you choose them as your roofing contractor, they will get your roof leak free until they can schedule the reroofing job. Well, that’s exactly what happened. We chose MRC and they came out immediately to fix the leaks before they could schedule the job. It turned out that I also had a leaking hot water solar panel also that couldn’t be repaired because it was full of mineral scale buildup. The water panel got switched out with a newer panel free of charge by MRC. MRC Roofing is probably the best roofing company in Hawaii. In my personal and professional opinion I would and have continued to recommend them to family, friends and clients. I also recommend Malarky roofing tiles- we got a 50 year warranty and any future work (example PV) I plan to use MRC again. Just remember if you get a Malarky roof- any work on it needs to be with Malarky licensed contractors - MRC csn mske recommendations for local licensed PC contractors that don't damage the roof and void the warranty.

  We have a flat roof with cap sheet and silicone coating. In late January during flash flood rain, water pooled up and entered the home via skylight and dryer vent, flooding the 1st floor. Mike came recommended to me and was one of 6 roofers that I spoke with. Mike and MRC Roofing were proactive and very responsive. They emphasize quality components and work with you to design the right solution. They helped me add a secondary drain system and came up with a solution to divert the downspouts that emptied onto my 1st floor roof. MRC Roofing is fair and honest about what you really need, and when you've got a budget, they work with you to find creative and effective solutions that address the task at hand. Mike Chu and his team were amazing. They have decades of experience. As a more involved home owner, I like to understand the problem, will discuss solutions, and want to understand what is being proposed and why. Mike was a great for me as he was patient and helpful in explaining what I really needed. His team was highly professional, super efficient, and the work looked fantastic. The roof looks great, and I feel safe and at ease about the next rain storm. With MRC Roofing, you get high quality, a good experience. Thank you Mike and MRC Roofing! Highly recommended.

  My new house came with a sneaky little roof leak that created a big problem. The leak was traveling horizontally. MRC was able to determine that a reroof was in order. They removed what turned out to be three layers of roofing and found a lot of rotten lumber that needed to be replaced. They removed the pitch and gravel roofs and installed a new 3-ply CertainTeed modified bitumen cap sheet system. It came with a 20-year material warranty (transferable) and a 7-year leak free workmanship warranty.

  MRC reroofed our pool house last year with Canadian cedar shake. It turned out so well that we decided to come back to reroof the main house. As before, MRC out right away for a free estimate. Victor, the salesman advises us that the building code now specifies that we needed to add a new layer of plywood since Hawaii is now listed as a hurricane susceptible state. In addition to the roof, MRC expertly installed two new skylights in our kitchen and bathroom. MRC’s crew cleaned up after themselves single every night. They even took their porta-potty away. The crew was polite and efficient from start to finish, The MRC team completed the job in a week. The new wood shakes come with a 50-year material warranty and a 7-year workmanship warranty. MRC used stainless steel fasteners and nails since we live near the beach. They are not as susceptible to salt air damage as galvanized nails. We were pleased that they were able to save us some money by reusing our stainless steel valley metal in the process of the construction. We unreservedly recommend MRC Roofing. They are far and away better than any of the roofers we have contacted or used in the past.
