  Our system needed replacing on the house we recently bought and Donovan came to check it out for us. He was extremely kind and helpful, explained everything in a very easy to understand manner, and had the best energy to help us manage through a tough large expense as easily as possible. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone and I feel very confident that our HVAC system replacement/upgrade is in good hands thanks to him and the team that will install for us!

  Donovan Jenkins came out to take a look at my system. He was extremely thorough, honest, and professional. He took his time inspecting my HVAC system and ductwork and was happy to get into the technical details and explain exactly what he was seeing. I initially thought I might need a system upgrade, but after going through everything, Donovan was straightforward that I didn’t need one. So even though the visit didn’t result in a sale, I came away feeling really good about the interaction. There was no pressure or unnecessary upselling just an honest assessment and a lot of useful information. Very knowledgeable, respectful, and trustworthy. I’d absolutely recommend him.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Eugene and Cool Air Mechanical absolutely saved the day for my family. Our AC went out in the middle of this weekend’s historic heatwave. With a newborn, my wife, two dogs, and my sister-in-law visiting, going without AC simply wasn’t an option. To make matters worse, this happened on a Sunday evening. I called around, and Cool Air Mechanical was the only company I could find that not only had someone answering the phone after hours, but actually had technicians working. From the beginning, their communication was excellent. I received both text and email updates letting me know someone would be coming out. As the evening got later, I called again just to make sure we hadn’t fallen through the cracks. I asked the representative if someone was really still going to make it out that night. Her response was essentially, “Oh, he’ll be there.” And she was right. Eugene showed up and genuinely saved the day. He didn’t rush through the call despite the late hour. He methodically troubleshot every possible issue, explained what he was finding along the way, walked me through his recommendations, and made sure I understood what was happening with our system. It was immediately obvious that this guy knows his craft. Eugene is an expert’s expert. But what impressed me just as much as his technical knowledge was who he was as a person. He was incredibly professional and courteous, had a great sense of humor, and was just an all-around good dude. Despite the circumstances, everyone in the house enjoyed his energy and his company, including the dogs, which might be the highest endorsement of all. There’s something different about a company that answers the phone on a Sunday night during a heatwave, tells you they’re going to send someone, and then actually follows through with someone as capable and personable as Eugene. Thank you, Eugene. Seriously. I’d recommend Cool Air Mechanical to anyone looking for reliable help, professional service, genuinely courteous people, and a company willing to go above and beyond when you really need them. You earned a customer for the future.

  We reached out to Cool Air when it was apparent that our system was not working. We were given a quote to replace a coil that we felt was astronomically high. Alex came out to share options with us. After providing details of what we have done with Cool Air previously it became obvious that we had a bit of an issue. 2 years ago we were quoted to replace a coil (the other had been replaced a year or so prior with an outside vendor) and 2 outside units. We agreed to that work and paid for the service. Thanks to Alex’s transparency, it became obvious that at that time Cool Air did replace a coil but replaced the wrong coil. So here we were being told we needed to replace a coil that we paid to have replaced 2 years earlier that was never replaced. We did agree to split the cost but I regret it. I should not be held responsible for work that Cool Air neglected to complete. Moving forward, I’m not sure I can trust them with my routine maintenance.. The work proved on this job was great-but I am not schooled in HVAC. Alex was professional and a pleasure to work with. The brothers that did the work were professional and a pleasure to work with but, like the last time, I have no real idea if it was done correctly. Unfortunately you have given me reason to question. Cool Air should have stood tall and provided the work free of charge since it was previously paid for. I, in good faith, can not recommend you to others..

  Note: The following is a review purely focused on my experience with Jesse Irwin, a comfort advisor from Cool Air. I ultimately went with another company for my install, so I cannot speak to Cool Air's installation or maintenance services. --- I was in the market for an A/C replacement and contacted Cool Air based on a recommendation from a family friend. Jesse came out to take a look at my situation and worked with me to come up with suitable options. He brought a wealth of knowledge from his days as an installer, coupled with a sense of humor that made enjoy learning about my options. He did not try to upsell me on anything I didn't need, especially taking into account my aging upstairs system and what I'd likely do there (when the time comes). He worked within his parameters to offer discounts where he could. Ultimately, Cool Air's quotes for a simple box swap came out significantly higher than the quotes I got from even some of the bigger-named shops with, presumably, higher overhead. I ultimately went with one of them since their work included duct work modifications to improve airflow that Cool Air's more expensive quote did not. Regardless, the least I could do is write this review detailing my experience with Jesse, since I genuinely learned a lot during his visit, which was helpful through the otherwise extremely painful process that is picking an HVAC company to do full/partial system replacement. If my experience with Jesse is representative of the rest of Cool Air, and if you can manage a reasonable deal with them, I think you'd be in good hands.
