- RERita EbhalemeApr 24, 20261.0Extremely disappointing experience with The Pointe at Heron Bay and Ashton Woods. I was under contract for a home at 5345 Heron Bay Blvd Lot #50, but could not move forward after an inspection discovered 38 defects on the new construction, including structural damage, corrosion on the water heater (posing a carbon monoxide risk), signs of pests, and a plumbing issue. Attached are photos detailing just some of the defects found on the home. Despite these documented failures, Ashton Woods has not returned my $5,000 earnest money deposit. Potential buyers: please hire your own independent inspector and be wary of your deposit. I sincerely hope that The Pointe at Heron Bay and Ashton Woods discloses potential safety risks and structural damage to future buyers.
