So far, Jape Services has been absolutely awesome to work with. They came out the first time for our HVAC maintenance and Duy Pham arrived right on time, did everything perfectly, didn't try to sell us on anything additional, explained all of his work, and left our home clean and tidy. But suddenly a month later, one of our air conditioners went out. Called Jape Services again and Steve Gagliano came to our rescue. He thoroughly looked at the units, did his tests, realized the AC wasn't broken, and discovered we had a tripped circuit (it wasn't on the breaker, but on an electrical outlet). He pushed in trip button on the socket and wallah, cold air started flowing again. We never even knew that outlet existed, let alone had a reset switch on it. Well done Steve. You're our AC Hero. And all of this quality service for very affordable prices. I think we're gonna be Jape Services customers for a long time after this.

Okay, LISTEN to me. Jape Services was recommended to me by a friend. The compressor, on my 21 year old Trane A/C, was slowly dying. It had been tripping the breaker for a few weeks while my home warranty company was giving me the run around. With temperatures in the mid 90s, I called Jape, desperate for help, it was Friday. A wonderful lady named Sherry answered the telephone. She was so helpful. She told me that she would get Jeremy right on it. I assumed that during this heat wave I probably wouldn't see Jeremy at least until the following Tuesday. Sherry asked me if it would be all right if he came between 2:00 and 4:00. "TODAY," I asked??? Sherry said "yes, today." Jeremy showed up right on time, he quickly assessed the situation, gave me his recommendation and quoted me almost instantly. His quote for a larger and better system than what I had, was approximately half of what I have been quoted by other, more well-known companies for lesser systems. Almost half! I called Sherry the following morning and we set up the installation. I was connected with Christi on a follow-up call and she even sent me up with 18 months, no interest financing. I was elated. I didn't have to come out of pocket with that much money at one time. How wonderful is that? We set up the installation and Jesse & Jesus arrived right on time Thursday morning around 10: 20am. These two young men worked like Trojans. Jesus installed the A/C unit outside, while Jesse installed the furnace, brought it up to new code, cleaned up and were gone by 4:30pm. It's rare these days to find a company who performs such excellent work and is a great pleasure to work with. These people are all singing from the same hymnal. One phone call and they were ON IT!!! There was absolutely no pressure, no rush, and no bait & switch. These folks do business the old fashioned way. Their word is their bond. I can't say enough good about them. I have already recommended them at least four times, to other neighbors who asked about them. If you want your job done right, I would highly encourage you to get in touch with these folks. It's a great pleasure to know people who still work like this. Thank you Jape Services Richard B. PS. The cookies are AMAZING! 😊

It had been a handful of years since I had some general maintenace done on my HVAC system. I have 2 Trane units (approx 10 yrs old) in the attic with two non-Trane AC units (approx 17 yrs old) outside. Steven came by (24 yrs in the biz) and did an overhaul. Very detailed. Took care of a few additional items for us and made some suggestions which were never mentioned by other firms who came before him. One of my outdoor units was starting to fail (he offered an inexpensive fix) while the other he said was running fine. We asked him to give us a quote on replacing the soon to be troubled unit. Why not? I was curious. Within a day it was received. Very reasonable. So much so I asked him to offer up a quote replace both. These systems wont get cheaper as time goes on and with a 17 yr old unit why push it till it dies in the middle of a summer. I'm thrilled with my two new 17 Seer Trane units installed expertly by Jesse and Jesus. Jesse ran lead and both could not have been more professional, courteous and respectful of our home and surroundings. When all was done, all within the timeline promised, he gave me a tour of the attic work they did along with the 2 new outdoor units. That meant a lot to me as it was getting late and most would have just said you're all set and left. The area was so clean you would not have known they were there. Shout out to Christi and Sheri for anwsering my many questions through out the process. Always kind and professional. Unexpected surprise of the cookie delivery days later. Dee-lish! I was looking for a new HVAC company to call home for a number of years now and I'm happy to say we found one for keeps. Thank you to the Jape Services Team for restoring my confidence in this industry. Cheers!

Jape Services was a dream come true. They worked with my schedule and set up a same day appointment for an estimate to replace my dead 25 year old AC unit. They came out to my sweltering house at 5pm Monday (after I got home from work) and walked me through the options. I decided on replacing the entire 25 year old HVAC unit. I asked at 630 pm if this could this be done tomorrow morning, and I was told, yes! Brayan and Brandon were knocking on my door at 8:00 AM the next morning ready to replace the old HVAC with the new equipment. They did an amazing job. My house was cool again by 1230 pm. Looking forward to trying out the furnace when the weather cools down significantly.Thank you so much, Jape Services!

Overall, I can’t recommend Jape Services for system replacements that are more than simple remove and replace jobs. Their maintenance may be fine, and I might stick to that to maintain the 10 year labor warranty despite being unhappy with the install. Boring details below… Had two AC/furnace systems fully replaced, added zoning to each, and had some ductwork done in the basement’s drop tile ceiling space. Before the work, Daniel was great and happily answered all my questions. After the work, there are still some unresolved issues, and it’s starting to look like I may be on the hook for those. The work itself looked fine at a cursory glance, but as soon as I started looking at the details, I found more issues, some significant. Would not pass a professional or even a decent DIY’ers inspection. June 29th: Install crew was nice. The weather was very hot and humid, so I prepared a mini fridge full of drinks and some fans. The work was taking a long time so I provided food for the crew. In the end, it was about 12-13 hours. They left a bit of a mess outside but I don’t blame them since it was dark after a very long and hot day. Install crew was a subcontractor. It’s not inherently a bad thing, but I asked about this beforehand and was vaguely led to believe this wouldn’t be the case. Poor preparation / communication given to install crew. I had to clarify several things about the work to be done. They came with one incorrect AC unit, but credit to Daniel for rushing over with the correct one. Some parts were missing, like new electrical disconnects and clear p-traps for the AC condensate drain lines. Work not done: reframing part of (non load bearing) wall for filter access. Basement system was partially behind a wall, and new filters were 5” instead of 1” so could not be bent to get by the wall. The estimate did not explicitly mention this, but verbal agreement between Daniel and me said that the reframing would be done on the day of install, and they would give me measurements to get an access panel from Home Depot. The estimate only says that I would provide an access panel. I did not nitpick and ask to have all the details on the estimate because I was trusting Daniel. Install crew was not aware of this task and gave me info of a handyman. June 30th, I mentioned to Daniel the disconnects, p traps, and reframing. He said Daikin left off the disconnects and p traps, but did not directly address the wall reframing. I responded to ask again about the wall, and he said he’ll have someone come by with a 2x4. July 1st: discussed a bit more about smaller issues. July 8th and 13th: I sent a couple more messages but never heard back. July 14th: I messaged the office, and they scheduled a tech visit. July 16th: the tech came and replaced the electrical disconnects, sealed up some leaks, and replaced some insulation & conduit outside. He talked me out of the clear p traps. He said he would talk to Daniel about the wall reframing work. August 3rd: I sent a message to the office asking about the wall again. August 6th: no updates, so I reached out again. They had the same tech call me to discuss it. Apparently it’s not something they do, but they have someone who can do it, but it would be at extra cost. Tech said he would talk to the office. I’m not holding my breath. It’s getting ridiculous at this point, so I might just cut my losses and do it myself because it’s not that difficult, but on principle Jape Services should resolve it. August 7th: I went to inspect the basement ductwork that was done. As part of that, 4 existing tees needed to have one branch closed off on each. 2 were done with tape (no real duct caps. It works, but it’s kind of sloppy / cutting corners). 1 had the old flex duct just bunched up and twisted shut. Not good. 1 was left completely open, wasting conditioned air into the ceiling space. Terrible. I might just fix this myself too instead of trying to get them to fix it. Ideally they would have replaced the tees with straight duct connectors/couplers. More issues but this is the character limit.
