  Shawn's expertise and willingness to help has exceeded all of my expectations. I was recently scammed by what I now know is a gypsy paver. A man in a new Tahoe outfitted with lights for a road construction crew showed up at my house and told me that his crew had been working in my area and that they had some left-over asphalt and could patch the end of my driveway for a cheap price as a result. There is a lot of road construction going on in my area. I'm an IT guy and know nothing about paving. So, this seemed plausible to me. I filled out a form that I thought was for an estimate. When I came back outside between meetings to check on him, his crew had already started paving. I had to get in front of their equipment to stop them. They started trying to shake me down for $18,000. They threatened to put a lien on my house and tear up my driveway if I didn't pay them. I was at home alone and was concerned for my safety. Under duress, I paid them a portion of what they were demanding to get them off my property. They dumped raw asphalt up the end of my driveway and left it in a complete mess. All About Asphalt and Shawn were recommended to me after this happened. Shawn came out and was very knowledgeable and advised me that this was a scam and that he had been to four other homes in the last week where they had done the same thing. Shawn assessed the work and advised that the work that this gypsy did that I did not authorize was of poor quality and not to industry standards. Not only that but they dumped the remaining asphalt they had in their hopper on the end of my driveway and left a mess that will have to be cut out to be repaired out of spite. While I had filed a police report, Shawn spoke to the Sheriff on my behalf and advised him of the severity of the issue that in his estimation, criminal charges should be pursued. It will cost over $22,000 to repair the mess that this gypsy left. It is a hard lesson learned the hard way.
