1 star is too much for the nightmare that we are dealing with! We ordered tempered glass and stainless steel components and had a really disappointing experience.
We chose this business versus others from previously experience where we ordered some wood and iron components. For the current project we ordered components from this business as 3/8 tempered glass (5 heavy panels), stainless steel posts, clamps to support the glass, with our own installation (we take these to our new property in SC). We gave them accurate drawings, paid 50% deposit right away. The whole invoice was $7024.65.
At the pick up, we had to load everything on our own as 3 of the workers there were claiming they can't touch anything. What a poor customer service!
A long handrail came in 19 ft which had to be 20ft and wasn't cut per the agreed measurements they had to cut it (It had to be 13 ft, 5 ft and 2 ft). How the 19 ft bar had to be carried with a pick up truck? They handed my husband a saw and he cut it where these 3 people were standing and watching him.
Then the posts are not drilled and taped for the mounting hardware, not to mention the hardware is all missing entirely and we were told at the pick up that we have to get that on our own. These items were not specified at the beginning and are causing delays and added labor for the project, problems that should not occur with a professional supplier. We will have to spend additional time and money to get the hardware, drill and tap the posts.
We also got overcharged another 10ft of handrail bc they provided 19ft instead 20ft (so for 1 ft that was missing I got charged a 10 ft bar). And another piece of 8 ft wood was added to the invoice which we have no clue what is for and doesn't cover any portion of the job.
Not sure who runs this business, for wood is ok but for glass it is not. They only order from different places and resale. Nothing is manufactured there.
In addition to the product issues, the sales person I dealt with had a dismissive and unhelpful attitude over the phone when I raised all these concerns.
For the high price that we paid, we expected everything to be perfect; I have customers on my own and I treat them as kings, doing my best for what I say I do I actually do it.
For an order of over 7K, this level of service is unacceptable.

6 weeks, 4 different Monday no-shows, 2 half days, and poor communication from everyone, our "5-day project" was completed 36 days later.
Whether its Stairworx own staff or contractors making excuses, no one talks to each other. I've had to personally email, WhatsApp, and call the project manager multiple times a week to get answers as the project continued into its 6th week.
With Ring camera timestamps, emails, WhatsApp calls/chats, and photos, there is no way to dispute the multiple mistakes that I had to draw attention to when could've taken accountability and fixed them themselves the first time.
Final product: beautiful.
Was it worth the time, energy and hassle: no.
Original Start Date : 22 September
Original End Date : 30 September / 1 October (inclusive of staining)

The cost of a staircase remodel varies based on project scope, material selection, and structural requirements. Simple upgrades like baluster replacement and tread refinishing typically range from $1,500 to $3,500. Comprehensive remodels involving custom components and layout changes can cost between $5,000 and $10,000 or more. We offer complimentary consultations to assist you in planning a staircase that aligns with your objectives and financial considerations.
How long will the project take?
Most staircase projects are completed within 2 to 4 weeks from initial consultation to final installation. Our efficient timeline is maintained through our fully stocked warehouse, rapid special order processing (usually within one week), and skilled installers who work diligently without compromising on quality.
Do I have to replace the entire staircase?
Complete staircase replacement is not always necessary. If the underlying structure is sound, we can enhance the appearance by replacing specific components such as treads and risers, handrails and newels, or balusters in wood or metal. Our team will assess your staircase and recommend which elements should be retained or replaced based on your specific goals.
Can I stay home during the remodel?
In most cases, residents can remain at home during the remodel. However, if the staircase is the sole access point to essential areas like bedrooms or bathrooms, we will assist in planning alternative routes or schedule work to minimize disruption to your daily routine.
What materials do you offer?
We provide an extensive selection of materials, including various hardwoods (oak, maple, walnut, pine, and others), balusters (wrought iron, wood, cable, and glass), and handrails and newels in diverse shapes, sizes, and finishes. For custom requirements, we can source or fabricate specific components to meet your needs.
Do I need a permit for a stair remodel?
Permit requirements depend on the nature of the remodel. Structural modifications, such as altering the layout or removing walls, typically require permits. Most cosmetic updates, like replacing parts, painting, or refinishing, do not necessitate permits. We will advise you based on your specific project and manage any required documentation if permits are needed.
Will my new staircase meet building codes?
We ensure all our staircases comply with Georgia building codes, including specifications for tread depth, riser height, handrail height, baluster spacing, and load-bearing requirements. Our focus on both safety and aesthetics ensures your staircase will pass inspection and provide long-term reliability.
Can you help me choose a style that fits my home?
We offer personalized design consultations and provide access to an interactive stair design tool to help you visualize various combinations of stair components, finishes, and layouts. Our design experts are available to guide you through the selection process, making it both straightforward and enjoyable.
