My first time renting scaffolding presented some challenges, but the staff were responsive, helpful, and went beyond my expectations to make sure I had what I needed to complete the project.

We rented a water pump from the Columbus Ga location about 10 miles from our house. Picked up the pump from the Sunbelt location and took it home. The wheels on the pump were locked up and would not roll. Returned the pump to the Sunbelt location and picked up another pump with operable wheels. Returned home to use the pump and the pump would not prime to begin pumping. Called the Sunbelt store and was asked to check for a gasket in the system. There was not a gasket in place to operate. I had to return for the third time to Sunbelt Rentals to get a gasket. Finally, the pump was operable and I began using it as planned. Upon returning the pump, I voiced my dissatisfaction with the condition of the equipment rented and the cost to return to the rental location three times. I asked for a discount. The sales representative offered me $20 off the $150 rental fee. I responded that it should be no less than 2/3 of the original cost due to the service and condition of the equipment. The salesman responded that he would give me $80 off to get you to leave the store!! I am a 78 year old retired man. I would expect to rent equipment that is 100% operational from a reputable company. I would not expect to make three trips to the store to get one piece of equipment working. I would also expect customer service to be above average. When discussing the problems encountered with the salesman, he went to the back of the store and proceeded to drag the pump out with bad wheels. He then stated, see, it can be moved. This is not the service that I would expect, nor would I recommend this company to any friends or associated businesses.
