  i have bought two homes from Ashton woods and would may be buy more in future however in my 2nd transaction they sneakily introduced a per diem clause which included a 500/day penalty if there was any delay in closing. sometimes those things are beyond the control of buyer and i thought it was very un professional of Ashton woods. Just based on that experience i would not recommend AW to anyone.

  I had a disappointing experience with Ashton Woods during the early stages of exploring a new construction home. My concerns are based on documented interactions and email communication. 1. 25% Earnest Money Requirement: The builder requires 25% earnest money upfront, even before construction begins, without providing a clear justification for such a high amount. When I asked why this level of investment was necessary or why no interest is offered on the funds they hold, I did not receive a satisfactory explanation. 2. Price Increases During Discussion: Pricing was not stable. While I was still in active discussion and had not yet signed a contract, the price increased. I have email evidence showing this change happened mid conversation, which felt unfair and pressured. 3. Unprofessional Sales Interaction: The sales manager I worked with was unprofessional and at times rude. When I asked for rationale behind upgrade fees, the only explanation given was that “it’s a corporate direction,” with no transparency or detail. 4. Lack of Flexibility: The builder did not honor or consider any reasonable requests. The overall approach felt rigid and customer unfriendly. The one positive part of my experience was Joe, the site engineer. He was professional, respectful, and demonstrated strong work ethic. Unfortunately, the rest of the process overshadowed this. Based on my experience, I did not find it worthwhile to continue with Ashton Woods.

  Stopped in today. Met Thomas and Jason.. both EXCELLENT. Kind courteous and knowledgeable. Not a high pressure environment. Jason went over details about the current promotions while Thomas was the agent and ... Even though he was super busy, made time to speak with me and explain everything. Thank you to both! Beautiful homes, nice area too.

  Thanks for destroying yet another wooded area here in Cartersville. As if we don’t have enough cookie cutter slop popping up everywhere else. Greed knows no bounds around here apparently.
