  We have a fantastic experience with HL Sims from start to finish with our kitchen cabinet project! Lavivia helped us choose the cabinets, color and best design to maximize our new kitchen storage! They kept us informed about the project along the way. The installation was great and followed the decisions we had made. We would gladly work with them on other projects!

  The completed job is wonderful. There were only 2 problems. 1. You did not send a small raw piece of the wood to use in matching the existing wood on the cabinets. This was corrected when I drove to your offices to obtain the raw piece of wood. 2. The installer nicked the dishwasher line and apologized. However, when we attempted to repair, the line broke complete and flooded the kitchen. We immediately cut off all water and called a plumber. He arrived about 10PM Friday night and managed to get some water restored, but he has had to order some parts to get the dishwasher working. Therefore, we are having to handwash all the dishes until the parts come in. We are functioning, but just barely, and I have my family reunion here this Sat. I'm praying the part get installed by then.

  Terrible company and especially their customer service! My edging has issues with it on several areas of counters. Warranty barely past 12 months. This company does nothing, they are rude about it.After they get your money, they don’t care about you. I had to get Home Depot involved to get anything done. It took two and a half months after I first called sims. Lori is the worst. Oh my, why is she answering the phones. Well I should say when she feels like answering. She is rude , condensing, knows nothing, then when you explain your situation and call back for a follow up on a repair ( by the way ,Home Depot took care of it, $. NOT Sims) she will not answer the phone because she knows you have a concern and will quiz her, other words, you expect her to be able to help, right….. I called several times left a VM just to have her, Lori text me, saying call Brent the owner. All I needed was an appointment, after Home Depot said they will take care of me .She ignored my “many “ calls. I called from another number and she answered!!! But there again she was useless rude, talks over you.I wish I had never used this “small” company. The owner Brent says he will talk to Lori ( wrong)…. Well, it does no good. My advice, beware, after you pay for an install , you are not priority and they are not great , at all with edging, period! Big hassle with Sims! Zero stars!

  Incredibly poor workmanship. Countertop seams are uneven edges creating an edge that dishcloth gets snagged on. Dust was everywhere and not cleaned up. One countertop was cut to long and forced between cabinet walls, creating a 1/2” gap in cabinets, along with breaking tile backsplash when hammered to make fit! The owner, Hank, came to inspect and was pleased with the install and offered $75 to appease. Can you say old and senile? Part of the problem was that a newbie was left to learn (by mistake) on his own while other worker just walked around outside. I will not be paying for install. Thank goodness, I went thru Home Depot and they are going to resolve it.
