  This was my review from over a week ago, and even after Sheree from customer care reached out and offered the $99 refund for the diagnostic fee that I was charged, I have yet to receive the refund. The service technician was great and found a faulty capacitor in my a/c unit very quickly. I was quoted $721 for the capacitor installation and servicing of my unit. He explained the $99 diagnostic charge would not be applied since he was able to find the problem within minutes and that is the quote I signed for on his iPad. However, when I received the email with my billing receipt, turns out that I was charged $820 despite the quote I signed. Upon contacting customer service, Sabrina Johnson was unwilling to rectify my complaint. $820 for a capacitor and a cleaning is price gauging. I just changed the filter myself so that didn’t even need replacing. Will not be using Moncrief again.   The details of service done was not provided despite promises to do so. In the end not sure what was done. It was not professional, also do not suggest service on Saturday as no supervisor is available if there are questions as technicians are trained not to talk outside of service requirements.Poor customer service.

  Jose Padilla and his team recently came to install a new HVAC for us in the attic. They were on-time, courteous, and professional. Moving cars in/out so I could get to my meeting and making sure they laid down protective sheets so our carpet/floors don’t get messy! Jose took the time to explain the new thermostat to me too. Thank you Moncrief!

  Simon was friendly and efficient. He clearly explained the services and the advantages of different plans. I would recommend him without reservation. My only suggestion is for Moncrief to reduce the 6 hr. window. Although, that was not an issue in our case. The technician came within the first two hours. In the industry, It used to be two hours and then four hours and now six hours window. I think the 2 to 3 hour window is more reasonable.
